i had what i thought was my period on the 21 , but it only lasted 3 hours, the next day there was just a little very dark brown mucus then nothing . it never even made it to the pad. also i had NO clots at all. the preg. tests say neg. this has never happened before. should i be concerned? if that was implantion bleeding when whould i test positive?

If you had implantation bleeding on the 21st, then you should be able to get a positive test by now. Three hours of bleeding is not very substantial, so it sounds like it may not have been a period. IIRC, spotting during the luteal phase can indicate low progesterone levels, so you may want to talk to your doc about it.
