I just got a positive pregnancy test yesterday and I am 6 days late for af. I have been having an ache in my left side through to my back and in my hip. I called my doctors office and she said it could be gas or implantatinon. What do you all think? Has anyone had this before? Thanks

I just wanted to add that it is not pain it is just aching. ???? Not sure what to think. Thanks again.

Kind of like a tenderness. :)

if you've already gotten a positive pregnancy test, then it can't be implantation. You don't start making hcg until after implantation! Apparently lots of women have aching/light cramping in early pregnancy - your hormones are going wild and your uterus is changing. Congrats!!!

Sarah, Have you heard of a lot of people aching on the left side of their abdomen? I think with my first pg. I ached in the middle of my abdomen. I am just going to chalk it up to growing pains.

Aching on your right side could be nothing at all or it could be gas, could be a cyst or it could be a sign of a ectopic pregnancy, either way you should tell your dr they can answer your question better.

My aching is on my left side. They told me to take it easy for a while and just rest. I have an appointment on August 2. I am going to try to wait until then. If it gets too bad I will try to make them see me.

ya if it gets to bothering you more i would really suggest you tell them you need to be seen now.b/c you wont want to wait to long, just in case it is something to worry about but it probably aint nothing to worry about.

Honestly when I was around 6 weeks I had aching in my left side as well. Everyone had said that this or that should be on the right side NOT the left. This, of course made me a bit scared, but I am 9 weeks not (give or take) and just saw the baby's heartbeat today. If you have bad cramping (which even I had, honestly), bleeding, or anything that just doesn't feel "right" then please please see a doctor. I just want to relate my own experience and say that it can be perfectly normal and usual. :) Good luck!

oh, and also at 9 weeks I get pains on my right side more than my left. Like it moved or something. lol. Sometimes if I get up too fast it feels like something gets "stuck" on my hip bone. Very uncomfortable, but not painful usually...though it can be.

I am so confused. My ache is in my left side and in my left hip and it kind of goes into my left leg a little. It is like tender in my left side. I am going to call my doctor tomorrow and see what they say.

With my daughter, on occasion, I would have a sharp pain that would start in my left hip and work its way down my leg. I only had this happen a few times though. With my first I would get sharp pains in my left side if I did to much and I would actually keel over in pain, both babies where fine just weird pains. good luck
