Has anyone here drank alcohol after ovualation? I could be pregnant and I drank last night, could this harm the fetus?

B - I think most dr.s will tell you as long as you haven't been drinking in excess then you shouldn't worry about it. Obvioulsy if you think your pregnant you shouldn't drink anymore until you find out for sure. But I'm sure alot of women have drank before they even thought they may be pregnant and everything ends up okay.

Actually, I know it could harm the fetus I am just nervous and wanted to know if this happened to anyone else and it turned out okay.

B, you cannot harm the "fetus" since it's not even a fetus until abot 8 to 10 days later, when the osteoplast implants in the uterus. Then, the little egg multiplies it's cells every day and for a couple of weeks cannot be affected by any substance because it is too small, and isn't yet froming organs. You have to quit any alcohol at about 2 weeks AFTER implantation, when the "baby" begins to form critical neurological and bodily functions, such as the heart, the beginning of a brain etc.... Go research this on any detailed web-site on pregnancy and the first few weeks of development. They say NO Alcohol from 2nd week (after implantation, so about one month since Ovulation) on... hope that helps

Yes gigi.. good info... I was under the impression B hadn't had a missed period so was thinking there wasn't a high probability of any harm done.... but you have the technical info that makes alot more sense :-)
