This is my first and last month using opks..lol..my cycles have been off the past few month and I figured out that I should have ovulated somewhere around the 18th...well...I think I finally ovualted on the 21st..I never got a super dark line..but It got close and then I didnt test that night ..and the next morning it was light..and then I ended up gettin another darker line a few days later..but anyways..Im sure I have already ovulated..but I tested with an opk this morning for the heck of it and theres a light second line...do any other ladies have those as well all through out their cycles?

i always had a 2nd line on opk's before and after my positive.. some women have a certain amount of lh in their systems(from what i've read) all of the time...as long as your line was the same color as the control line it is a positive, did any of them get the same shade? or just almost?

well...one got really close, but then I didnt get to test again later that day...so I just a__sumed...I did have some cramping the day before, so I just figured I had ovulated and missed the line. But then..a few days later I did get another darker line but when I tested a few hrs later it was gone..it wasnt nearly as dark as the one a few days before that. This sound really idiotic, but if you have a second line, does that mean that theres a slight chance you could get preg at that time, too?? We had s_x like EVERY day-lol for two weeks...so..Im not worried about that, im just curious about that second line always being around.

Yes, for some women there is always a second line. No, the second line does not mean you can get pregnant at that time, too. An egg is only released with the surge.

ok!! thanks!! Hey Lin..I have another question for you! ok....I have heard that sperm has something to do with a woman m/c'ing...im not sure if thats true or not...but since my MIL had a m/c...does that increase the chance that if I get pregnant, I may have one also? She only had one and went on to have two healthy and normal pregnancies...I just wondered if one had anything to do with the other..Thanks!

I've never heard the sperm thing. As for miscarriage, your MIL doesn't even have a higher chance *herself* of having another miscarriage, so there's no reason to think that there's something inherently wrong with your hubby's sperm that would cause it. So NO, you're not at a higher risk.
