i am 9dpo and i just got a slight spike in temperature. i ovulated really late this month (probably due to stress) but am hoping this spike is a good sign. Any of you know a little about reading charts? What do you think my chances are...I might test tomorrow even though I o'd late this month. I really thought that due to stress, there was no chance this month...but maybe? My page is home/playmecoach

Lisa, your chart looks fabulous. Plenty of BDing before and even after O just in case. What was with the spotting leading up to ovulation? Do you usually spot then? Anyway that second temp shift is called a triphasic shift making your chart triphasic. Now I do have to tell you that there have been some GORGEOUS charts out there that have ended with a period and there have been some UGLY charts out there ending in pregnancy. To be completely honest with you. Basal body charting is good for nothing except pinpointing ovulation and then predicting impending AF depending on whether your temps drop or stay elevated. Your temps throughout your luteal phase really have no significance unless you pa__s when your period should be due and they stay elevated. :) I hope this helps. :) GL!

I guess I'll just try and wait it out a few days to see if AF shows. as far as the spotting leading up to ovulation, it was REALLY bad. i don't know if it was related to stress or what, but it has happened before. my ob said that it was alright though so i'll wait on getting checked out again. hopefully all our BD'ing pays off!!!
