can you get pregnant the day before your period? 5 days after period I had some slight spotting and my nose is blocked. My br___t are swollen but not sore. I'm not really sick to my stomache but extremely exhausted. Any help?

I have a 22 year old daughter and have never taken birth control. I was told my tubes were blocked and just figured I coiuld not have more children. My period was Oct. 22 and spotting occured 30th. I could cry at the drop of a hat too. It has been a long time, so any comments would be appreciated. Has anyone experienced any symptoms like this?

Normally an egg would have been history by that time, but it can happen depending on your cycle.

It started on the 22nd and lasted 4 days. I have read about implantation bleeding and it has been so long I thought could this be it?

Thanks for the response by the way.

We have had a post from a woman who claimed to have gotten pregnant from s_x on the first day, and there are doc_mented cases from s_x on the second day. Probability curves being what they are, that leaves a smidge of room for pregnant from s_x on the day before. The sperm would have had to survive in your fallopian tube for many days in order to catch ovulation a week or more early. Another possibility is that the period on the 22nd was implantation from s_x a week or so before. Keep us posted.

Thanks Viv, I wondered about that myself but everyone states that implantation periods are light. This one started with the worse possible pain and was pretty heavy. I also had developed a yeast infection before my period due to (I think) antibiotics that I was on for a cold. Can implantation bleeding be heavy?

any more help?

Usually implantation bleeding is much lighter than a normal period. It is different for all women, some don't even get it. It can last anywhere from one or two wipes, to 2-3 days. Since you are having painful cramping and heavy blood, I would wonder about an early miscarriage. Good luck, let us know what happens!
