how many has this happened to? & when did you find out you were preggers?

There are plenty of women who conceive from s_x on the last day of their period, or earlier for a few. Actual fertilization of the egg nevertheless occurs at ovulation (the sperm lies in wait), close to mid-cycle, and the first signs would not appear until 5 days later at the earliest. You would not hope for a positive test any earlier than a woman who conceived from s_x at mid-cycle - close to the next period or even a couple of weeks later. Good luck!

ok sorry if i sound dense lol but i thought sperm only lives a few days inside the body? so if someone conceives on the last day of their period, how would the sperm survive until ovulation a week or two later in order to fertilize the egg that only survives 24-48 hours? i thought the egg is only there during ovulation?

Please note that I did not specify what day mid-cycle is. Sperm can last 5 days, maybe more in fertile mucus, and ovulation can be several days earlier than CD14. We regularly see posts from women who temperature chart, and who ovulate on CD10. I have seen a report on the Internet citing a woman in Germany in WWI whose husband was only home CD1 and she got pregnant from s_x on that day (don't ask me how they knew it was not the milkman).

I think I might have concieved on the last day of my period. I'm taking a test today to find out because i'm 5 days late for my next period rightn ow. The last time i got pregnant it was around the last day of my period as well.
