Hi girls! Just wondered if there were many of us on here who were currently or starting to lose weight hoping that it ends in a bfp?

I want to. At least 20 pounds. My dr said it would help with conceiving. I am at about 175 right now.

i WISH i only needed to lose about 20 lbs! lol! How long have u been ttc, ursula?

ursula - January 16

oh don't get me wrong I would love to lose more than 20..haha, but dr. said even 20 pounds would make a difference. I've been trying for 6 months. I haven't done any sort of charting for O yet though. I want to start this month. I am cd3 right now. Waiting for AF to leave town for good!! hehe, or at least the next 10 month. How about you?

I have about 100 lbs to lose and have lost 6. LOL But I am on my way!!!!!! Its snow storming here and we can't use the car (no chains) so DH and I are gonna get in our exercise by walking to the store to p/u the fixins for dinner. :)

krissy2006 - January 16

LN0, do you have a chart???

LN030905 - January 16

hey Krissy..I have about a 100lbs to go, too. Gosh..that sounds so scary to say. 100 lbs...that seems almost impossible, but I know it is. Congrats on ur 6lb weight loss. Your right..that is a big step. Im actually starting the Bob Greene diet tomrorow. I had confirmation from God yesterday that my weight is hurting alot more in my life than just my selfview. I was sitting on the couch..not thinking about food, weight, anything..and all of a sudden..I felt like someone was telling me that I need to do something..bc Im not going to have kids until I do, because it would bad for me and my baby. Now, I dont know how you girls feel about God but I am a strong believer in him and I KNOW that it was him. Not too much longer, I saw a preview for t Oprah show ysterday with Bob Greene..so I started watching it when it came on and started crying bc I could relate!! lol! So, I was at the grocery store today and hadnt thought about his book..but I was walking past an isle and I noticed his book sitting right there in front and at 40% off, so I bought it, came home and read Oprahs intro and cried my eyes out again..bc I could relate..so..here I am!!! Im ready!!!

Good for your LN0... it is a huge step to take to start. HUGE!!! I have been pretty overweight since I was little. Since my little sister was born actually when I was 10. I was thin till then and then my mom started to eat and gain weight with her and so I started to eat and gain weight not to mention my stepfather (my lil sisters dad) was a monster from hell who made mine and my moms life just that. So, we both gained weight and we are both still overweight but she's done having kids and should really only worry about her health which she is as healthy as a horse so no worries there. I on the other hand am susceptible to kidney infections, I have asthma, I have acid reflux, ulcers etc. Thank God I have a regular cycle though!!!! But yoou are so right when you say 100 lbs seems like woah!!! HUGE!!! But just take it a couple steps at a time and just because you trip (cheat or whatever) or even if you fall, you can always get back up. It doesn't have to be permanent. That is what I have learned. BTW what is the bob green diet. I love to hear about different diets and how they work, and I especially like to see b4 and after pics when they are successful!!! Well hope you are having a nice evening!! TTYS ~Krissy

Well, I'm hoping to lose about 50 pounds... I lost 20 but over the Holidays I put 15 back on. :-( So back to my weight loss journey......... I've started walking every night for a min. of an hour with my neighbor. It's wonderful to have that accountability with someone who's gonna call if you don't show and give you a rashion of c___p for it too!! LOL I'm also going to start doing crunches and push-ups to tone. We'll see what happens! My REAL goal is to lose 20 pounds over the next nine weeks to impress DH. :-) Ideally, 1-2 pounds a week weight loss is perfect. Losing it slowly is SO much healthier then quickly. My goal anyways! Lerin, I am glad to hear you have taken the first step. Krissy, you are so lucky to have those regular cycles.... I wish I could have that just for a couple months!! LOL Well, alrighty. Head is KILLINg me. Off to bed and hopefully will be MUCH better in the AM. Goodnight everyone!

I just posted and it didnt show..grr..anyways, I am sorry to hear about your sdad, krissy..that had to be so hard growing up with that kinda person in ur life..do you still see him now? I shouldnt call it the Bob Greene diet..its actually "The Best Life" diet. He is Oprahs fitness guru. Its a 3 phase program that concentrates on eating habits, activity, and emotional side of dieting-which is huge for me! I like it because it gives you reasoning behind things..like why its important to drink lots and lots of water and to now lose 10-15 lbs in the first week or two. Im the kinda person that if Im going to be told to do something, I want to know why..lol. So, thats perfect for me. I went to the mall this past weekend and was standing in line to buy some clothes when this girl walked in front of me and I thought to myself..wow, this poor girl..she is so big and must feel so bad, not only energetic wise, but self concious wise also. Then she asked the sales girl for another pair of jeans..she asked for one size smaller than what i wore..that wa slike someone took a shovel and smacked me upside the face..i think my mouth was hanging open. It took my breath away! That was the first half of my waking up....the second was, of course, hearing God tell me that I am not going to have a child until I get fit and healthy. I dont feel bad..I could feel alot better..but Im lucky bc Ive not been diagnosed with any diseases or anything like that..but I have to do something before that happens. So, dh and I are joining a gym the beginning of next month. I also landed a new job last week, so Im hoping that with that I will start shredding the poundage!

ok i have to post here because i just stumbled upon a really interesting diet today! it's called the idiot proof diet... has anyone heard of it? fatloss4idiots.com and i am always into researching things... here is what i found on it steadyhealth.com/has_anyone_tried_the_idiot_proof_diet__t65957.html i really think i could make this work for me! my sister has been very successful at taking weight off with a similar program.... i have had the unfortunate experience of packing 50 lbs on within the last year during a bit of depression... i am motivated to lose it, but i get discouraged easily when i don't see results...this diet sounds like it might be something that would work for me!

Megs - January 17
