I am not sure if I had a miscarriage or not. I had my period on the 5th of this month, and I started bleeding again on the 14th and on the 15th it was heavy and dark brownish. Today it is just spotting and light pink. The first day I found out that I was bleeding I thought that maybe it was because of my birth control, and it was light so I didn't wear a tampon or pad. And I woke up the next morning and I was bleeding pretty heavy. So I rinsed out my underwear ( so it wouldn't stain) in the bathroom sink... and I noticed this little clump of blood came off and it seemed to be stringy. I stopped up the drain and had my boyfriend come look at it. It looked like it was a little ball of dark blood that had a long tail. The tail looked like an umblical cord. My doctor didn't know if I had had a miscarriage or not. She just reffered me to a specialist. Was that little clump what I thought it was.. and if it was do I have to go to a specialist to make sure that it all came out? Please help.....I have also been having fever, and chills, and have had very sharp pain in lower left abdomin.. I was almost in tears the pain was so bad. Thanks for any info!

Did they examine what came out at all? I hope they did. Ask for a scan and also a blood test which will still show pregancy hormones if you were pregnant and miscarried. If not insist that they give you some sort of possible explanation to put your mind at rest-let us know how you get on and take care, sorry you've had such an awful experience. I've had 2 m/c so know how awful it is.
