I am trying to find out if you can ovulate during your period and I have found various sites that say yes and some that say no. Then we come here and we here about an aunt or sister who did...I wish there was a little more science to this thing>>Anyone have any good sites to explore?

Try this ... http://bmj.bmjjournals.com/cgi/content/full/321/7271/1259? ... being careful to distinguish between ovulation and fertile window. The first world war study on German soldiers on leave is interesting.

The article above referred to another which was also interesting. I have put links to all this stuff at http://www.ppowb.org/fertility.htm ... The bottom line is that there is no day of the cycle on which one can be absolutely sure of not getting pregnant, even if the chances are vanishingly small. The chance of getting pregnant in this definition is that ovulation will occur in the next 5 days. I am still of the opinion that if one tracks ovulation with certainty, then once ovulation has pa__sed there is no chance of pregnancy until the next cycle begins.
