Here we go let some more chatting begin!

See amyb-don't you remember me telling you it could be excess bile salts in your system....But I heard it is not that uncommon and can be a part of pregnacy and not something to worry to much about. Its just annoying. Also I would be scared to death of a c-section but I think of the upside. NO HOURS OF LABOR and you get to see your little guy very quickly (or little girl what ever the person is having.) No waiting and such. I watched a few c-sections. Was pretty neat how fast they are.

Oh and by the way a lot of people opt for the spinal but I think I would rather have an epidural cranked up for two reason. No spinal headache and no having to have a blood patch done if you do get the head ache and 2. It doesn't numb you as high up and you don't get that incredible pressure in your chest as you do with the spinal. Just my humble opinion though. Never had either. Just what I've been told.

Ashley-if the blood tests show that my rash is due to excess bile salts do you know what the doctors will do? Thanks for the advise about the spinal block and epidural, I had read about some people gettting a head ache from te spinal block, so I will have to see what the consultant says next wednesday. How are you feeling now? are you still getting lots of pain? Since last week I seem to be getting lots of sharp pains in my pelvic area, mostly when I am walking and also lying in bed.

aaaahh much better now i don't have to scroll down so much...LOL

Justine - July 6

Amyb - our house is the opposite to yours as everyone is female (dh already has a daughter) including the cat. dh was initially hoping for an influx of testosterone from a baby boy but has now accepted the inevitable oestrogen surge...lol! Dawn - i know it's scary having any surgery but there's also alot to be said for not having to go through L&D which i am currently (and have been for most of the pregnancy) terrified of. interestingly though, i'm still not planning to have an epidural and am hoping that i'll be able to cope with the pain... doesn't make any sense i know!!! Ashley - i get those rollings from side to side too. i think the baby is so out-of-room in there that those are the only major movements she can make although she's still delivering the odd good kick in my ribs. Kristen - how are things going with you?

ashley - July 6

Dawn-I am not sure what they will do if anything at all. I just recall that from my nursing cla__s and said it was part of the changing body. If you give me some time I will look it up for you. But if I recall it should clear up and go back to normal when you deliver.

ashley - July 6

Justine-Its amazing they have enough room to even do that. I get the stretch into the ribs, not the hard kick. Its like he sticks his foot there and then pushes to see how far he can go before I have to put my hand there and push his foot away, lol. I am so out of patients right now. FIL tied up the big stuid white dog about 20 feet from our house. Mind you this dog was suppose to be a sheep dog but its never out with the sheep. ALL SHE DOES IS BARK at any movement what so ever. I am about read to go put a d__n muzzle on her. SHUT UP DOG! Well poor dh was out numbered by girls for a while, but the numbers will be even. DD, me our cat are girls. The dog was the only other male lol. Still not decided on a name. Its down to Ian Nathaniel, Cole Desmond, Case Desmond or Addison Nathaniel. I think we will wait until we see him to decide for sure, unless another name comes to mind when we do meet him. WHICH I was hoping was SOON. I feel hands and feet every where.

Justine - July 6

Ashley - i love Addison Nathaniel! the thing with the rib kicks is that the baby likes to rest her feet up against them and then give a big push. other than that she seems to rest them just under my ribs so that i have a strange bulge sticking out of my right side, it looks very funny. as for the dog, why don't you walk it back over to fil's house and tie it up there and let them suffer the barking...lol!

ashley - July 6

I would do that justine, but FIL is just to darn nice. And it is his ranch. I just like to give him c___p about things some times. He really is a good person. But the dog is driving me nuts. I am thinking about brining her up to the sheep! That made me laugh too. Ya know Justine, i actually was thinking Addison too because dh had discussed that name before we were married when we had decided on a girl name. We liked it. Its just I got so side tracked because my mom said she didn't like the name and so did a couple of my friends, but who cares right, its not there child and they will get use to the name. Besides my daughters name is Alexandra and I wanted another A name. Addison and Alexandra is okay. My poor ducks are sitting in the heat panting. I turned the misters on in the hose to let them cool off guess they got bored of it. Any body else having a hard time drinking so much water? I am so bad. I haven't drank hardly anything today Shame on me. I had a gingerale. We are almost out of culligan water so I am trying to be sparing with it. I called them to see if they could bring more.

just checking in.... doesn't seem to be much new

AmyB - July 6

dawn to answer your previous ? no it dosent mean all other deliveries have to be c section especially since yours was due to breech... and i had a spinal with both of my c sections...

ashley - July 6

Amyb-did you feel the pressure in the chest like they say when you got the spinal? DId you get the spinal headache? Did they also make you lay flat on your back for quite a while after wards? You'd know better than I what is better, I just am going off of what I heard/read, etc. I watched a gal get a spinal and it scared me lol.

Dawn - July 7

AmyB-did you have an option between getting the spinal or epidural? How did you find the spinal and recovery afterwards? Ashley-Why did seeing someone get a spinal scare you? what was it like? My baby is head b___ting my ribs this morning and last night she would not stop kicking my bladder, I'm very surprised my bladder still works lol.

ashley - July 7

Dawn-had I seen some one get an epidural probably would of scared me too. When I watched a c-section she opted for the spinal. It was just where they stick it and watching them get spinal fluid back to know they were in correct position. I don't want to scare you. Because from what I here epidurals don't always take. I would best discuss it with the anastesiologist. I just don't like the thought of them in my spinal fluid. personal opinion. That is all.

Well I am off to my appointment. Last night when I went to bed I finally drifted off to sleep and about 10:38 I woke up with just a very intense menstral type cramping and a contraction. From then on I had contractions all night! They wern't painful like that first one. I finally fell back asleep at 4:30am and got up at 7am. I have my ob appointment that I am heading to. Now that I am up running around the contractions are back and lots of menstral type pain...ugggg. Maybe I should bring my bags just in case ;-)

michelle - July 7

Yeah Ashley i would take my bags too. When my sis was starting to labor her midwife told her to go take a shower and if the contractions stay then its true labor but if they go away then its just bh. she did and hers was true so we had her go in as he was breech. so they took him that next morning cause we got to the hospital at 1145pm. boy and he is being one fussy boy today. I've had jesse and dakota since yesturday and had to wake up twice last night. i guess i'm just getting ready for when it does happen for me> LOL
