Here's the new thread.. So does anyone else have issues with liking meat? My biggest problem is eating Chicken, I make myself but it just tastes gross. It seems to be only when I cook though, maybe I just suck at cooking. tee hee

Dawn - March 24

amyn-I can't eat chicken either, it was my favourite meat before I got pregnant but as soon as I started with morning sickness I couldn't go near chicken. The only meats i eat now are beef and a little bit of lamb but I do eat fish such as Salmon, haddock, cod and tuna. Justine-The baby kicks all the time now, I think i have felt her rolling as I have felt some weird sensations that have made me think what the heck is she doing in there. Whenever she starts kicking I get dh to put his hand on my belly, but as soon as he does she stops kicking which makes me laugh. I think dh has only felt her kick once, poor thing.

I've not eaten meat for years as I can't stand handling it or the taste of it and now I'm pg that aversion is even stronger. It's odd how I can still eat fish though - I guess it's my body ensuring that I still get quality protein. Amy - how are finding it with dh being away, do you have close family and friends nearby to keep you company? My dh travels quite alot with business and whilst I enjoy the first day of solitude after that I start going crazy with only the cat to talk to. Dawn - i don't know why but when the baby starts rolling it sends me into fits of giggles, the kicks I can handle but that odd sensation of rolling around the belly just sets me off...

I have this thing with pork chops and beef. They have never been my favorite, but I could always stomach them. Now sometimes the smell of cooking hamburger or pork chops makes me gag. I can eat it sometimes, but would rather have chicken. I love chicken, but an very picky about it. I love it dry. My dh says I cook it too long but I love it that way! hee, hee. I always end up having chicken when we go out. I love this chicken sandwitrch tehy have a t a resteraunt we go to alot and it comes in this bufalo sause, oh it is so good. I order it and steamed brocoli on the side. My dh makes a face cause he hates brocoli. okay that is what I want for lunch now, but we do not have any place in town that serves it.....bother.....I will have to think of something else....

ok I just had the weirdest thing/sensation happen. On my left side of my lower belly I had about 3 or 4 sharp pains (not cramps, but like a pinched nerve) go from my belly b___ton to the b___tom of my belly. What the heck was that??? anyone have that, I guess it could have been gas but it felt like something was touching a nerve.

amyn - March 24

Justine- At first I was ok with DH being going but now since its been 2 months its getting old and really starting to bother me. All the other times he deploys never bothers me but this time I'm more emotional and sick of being alone. I have no family close by and few friends. Some of the girls I am friends with are nice but get on my nerves at times, so I've just been hanging out with the dog, I know I need to submit myself to company but I don't know I guess I just want to wallow in my own misery. haa haa

amyn, sounds like ligiment pain to me. Is it on one side or the other or in the middle like befhind your belly b___ton? Is it sharp and like a pulling or streaching sensation? If so I bet my money on ligiments. The ligiments that hold your uterus in place are streaching due to the extra weight in your uterus fomr the baby, the fluid, and the placenta. It will come and go. Try gently rubbing that spot and drink lots of water. That seems to hlep mine. How far along are you? I bet you are jsut about right to start feeling that.

AshleyB - March 24

Hi, I'm still waiting it all out. We bded today though and I started spotting afterwards, which is sooo weird. That only happened once when I was about 8wks before. Not that I think I'm pg yet, I'm just confused. Now it's gone. Just enough to see it and have it be gone again to confuse me... lol It's going to be a long 2ww I think....:)

amyn - March 24

Emily I'm 11 weeks and a few days, I'll be 12 weeks Tuesday, you're probably right cause I lightly rubbed the spot and put my feet up and its gone now.. weird

Emily - March 24

Amyn, most people start to feel it around 10-12 weeks if at all, so my guess is that is what it is. It may get worse if you make any sudden movements. AshB, hoping this is your month....I hate that you are so confused. I know it sucks when you are tying to figure out what is going on and your body throws you for a loop....will be thinking off you. Hope the wait goes fast.........try not to think about it too much if that is at all possible (yah, right) and maybe it will go faster.....

Hey, guys, I just did an opk and got an extreme positive. The second line actually darker than the control line! whoo hoo. So Iguess I'm just o-ing late. The last 3 days they've gotten darker everyday, so I guess that's whats happening. I can't believe I actually finally got a positive I'm so excited to have an idea of what's going on. Thanks girls.

amyn - March 24

YEAY AshB - make sure to bed again tomorrow ok, remember it turns positive 12-36 hours or so before you actually release an egg. Good luck girl, (my advise go have some drinks tomorrow and seduce DH, make an all nighter out of it :) tee heee

ashley - March 25

good morning all....Happy weekend! I had my ob appointment yesterday, everything is good. Had a harder time trackign down baby's heartbeat because he was moving so much, lol. So far I have had 4 OB appointments and 1 being the first so the 2 other times I have gained 6 lbs each time. Grrrrrr so I have gained 18 lbs! My doctor didn't say anything about it, but I did bring it up and she gave some recommendations. Cut back on sugars, limit fruit intake to 2-3 times a day and try to spread them out. Eat yogurt and cheese, etc. She said when you have a craving, think about the weight gain and how much more i'll have to take off after the baby is born. So my goal is to only have gained 4 lbs next visit (or less) If I only gain 4lbs the next 4 months than I should gain another 16lbs and have gained a total of 34 lbs which is acceptable. (only 4 lbs more than with DD though I started out heavier.) So I am going to try really hard, plus I'll be more active this month with clinicals. I asked my actual OB instructor why I no one got OB as a preceptor and she said because I have my clinical rotation up there and its to hard to have a preceptor up there too! So I feel a little better knowing I wasn't being picked on. I got a dr's note saying I need 10-15 minute breaks for nutritional needs, rest and bathroom.......lol Go ashb I hope this is O! You gals were talking about meet. I haven't really had a hard time this time around. With DD i had a hard time eating eggs, and that was it. I can't think of much that I couldn't eat. i eat chicken and beef quite a bit. (tacos, chicken enchalatas, pot roast) Im mean heck we live on a cattle ranch, I have to at least eat beef, lol.

amyn - March 25

Ok all I posted a pic of my non bump that was taken the begining of March. I'll have to get a pic for you with my shirt up so you can actually see the pooch..

Justine - March 25

Morning all. Ashley - i'd put on 6 pounds between my last 2 ob visits too. my dr told me to keep it up as i'd lost so much weight in the 1st trimester! i don't feel like i'm eating lots of food but i know that i'm snacking between meals alot more than before (and of course some of it is not always healthy...hehe!) Amy - i checked out your pic. i love the top you are wearing. definitely post a baby bump pic when you get the chance, no matter how small. Elisabeth - fingers xxx that everything will go ok for you. trust your instincts and if things feel alright then i'm sure they are. Ashb - sounds like you're definitely ovulating now. good luck. i had a very sleepless night last night and just when i finally started to relax someone decided that she was going to play back flips for a few minutes. it was quite amazing as she was moving all over my belly but then i think she tired herself out and finally went to sleep as did i...lol!
