Baby Quickning Flutters At 6 Weeks 5 Days

I read on a health site that the baby actually starts its first movements at around 6-8 weeks, most mothers don't feel anything until about 12 weeks and on. But it also said that women who have been pregnant can often feel movement earlier, and those who are small in size can also feel the baby move early. At first it may fell like gas, but as it becomes constant, you start to realize its actually the baby. It may feel like bubbles, butterfles, or popcorn popping. Does anyone else have these feelings besides me?

Bethany: I feel what feels like what i swear would be movement. Although I've never been pregnant and I am pretty average in size. Somedays it's a lot and somedays it's a little calmer. I'm 10 weeks 2 days.

Im glad im not alone, some people think Im going over board, but you know your own body.

Becky - February 18

I've been feeling that too... though I still haven't tested positive :-p The most I would be is 8 weeks (yesterday), but we've tried a bunch of times in the past two months, so I could be anywhere from 8 weeks to, well... less. I'm the same as Serenna, never been pregnant and average size.

Well Bethany, i have been pulling my hair off over this! Like Becky , i have not tested +ve yet, but i feel these popcorn/bubbles in my lower stomach.I thought it was all in my head , but it seems to be slightly stronger and going slightly higher now. Not to mention i have already 2 kids( therefore i know how it feels like ), and my belly is big now .Everybody around me is noticing it ( Hubby & daughter are telling me my belly is getting too big. ) I would be something like 10 weeks now. I feel them on the right & left side, and middle of lower abdomen, from time to time.

bethany - February 18

Thats exactly what I feel, and I know its not gas.

Mimi - February 18

I sure know it's not gas either ( conversly to what doctor wants me to beleive !) Is ur belly growing too ? I am very slim with a flat stomach by nature, and when i put on weight,it is generally everywhere but in my belly ! ( and not as much in such a short time, and no so noticeable either ).

I have not really noticed any weight gain, but I do feel bloated and Im started to get a little pouch. Everyone keeps saying that I look the except, my face seems to have a glow, or seem clearer. Its weird because when I look in the mirror, it seems as if Im breaking out.

I hate to burst your bubble and there is no malice intended on this reply but....the baby is so small at 6 and 8 weeks, it would be virtuously impossible to feel. It only weights about the same as a couple of paper clips. Imagine BARELY tapping 3-4 paper clips against the inside of your uterus and imagine if you would really feel it. Sorry. :-)

I do fel bloated too, especially after i eat, it feel as if i eat a x-mas feast everytime, need to unbotton my pants ! even today i haven't had any food in my stomach, i felt as if i just had a feast! PPl are either asking me or congratulating me. And i always had a Jlo type of belly, if u know what i mean .B4 & after babies ! Weird......

This is to the BUBBLEBUSTER! This is my second child, and I felt both at an early time. My doctor even confirmed it with my first child. During the Ultrasound I felt a spasm and she noticed and said that it was the baby. She could see the movement on the monitor. By the way do you even know how the uterus lays, If you could feel a gust of wind that is gas in your stomache, than you can feel other stuff. The uterus before pregnancy is about the size of a small fist or even smaller, I know that if there was somthing growing and or floating in there.......the possiblities of feeling it would be 50/50. Go bug someone else!

All i know is that on this planet, NOTHING is impossible ! Of course the unknown or the unusual is always perceived as craziness .Besides there is always a first time to everything, because it's rare or sound unusual does NOT mean , it is impossible !

I am sick and tired of some of you women getting an att_tude everytime ANYBODY replies and disagrees with you. This is a forum, where people congregate to talk and exchange ideas and OPINIONS and if you will take the time to actually read the whole d__n email and not zero in on negativity you would see that I put there is no malice intended. If someone disagreeing with you 'bugs' you, then how do you make it in the real world? Since you are into counting pregnancies, this is my 4th. IN MY OPINION, it is unlikely to feel a baby move at 6w5d since it is SO small. Go to www.visembryo.com and see how small your baby is right now. Barely has legs and arms to move. Get off your freaking high horse and chill out.

bethany - February 18

First of all no one is on a high horse. Just because you have not felt anything, does not mean that others have not. Yes,this is a forum and people say all kinds of things, but you are the one being a pest. Who are you to tell a person what they feel and what they don't. You need to go to Epigee.org and take a look at fetal developement, matter of fact just ask your doc on your next appointment. Im not trying to argue with anyone, you are the one who came on here like miss-know-it-all. Using the name bubblebuster. Your right your opinion is your opinion, but don't get mad when people disagree with you.

(go to thiswebsite) babycenter.com/refcap/pregnancy/fetaldevelopment/2872 Make sure that you read the whole part about fetal development. It states that some mothers who are smaller in size may feel early movement and stuff. Just goes to show that anything is possible.

Stop all the drama and enjoy the pregnancy. Is it just me or do women who are pregnant seem to get grouchy. Im 5 months and I have cussed out a few people at the grocery store for just asking if I wanted paper or plastic. I think its just the raging hormones. Calm down before you go crazy and throw your monitor out the window. You what relaxes me....a nice soothing bath. I heard that you are not suppose to take baths, only showers during pregnancy, but my doc said it was okay as long as you don;t have the water too hot. Ladies lets just chill out and save all our frustation and anger for the deliver room when the husband/boyfriend/lover or whatever has to hold our hand. Besised stress can cause to go into early labor and possibly have a miscarriage.

every pregnancy is different. some women feel flutters at a very early stage, others don't feel it until much later on. personally for me, i started to get the "quickening" at around 10 weeks. it feel like lots of little mini flips your tummy does when you're on a rollercoaster! one after the other. lovely feeling! but every girl is different. a friend of mine felt nothing until her son decided to play football in her belly at around 16 weeks! just enjoy being "with baby" and like angel said, don't stress yourselves over a differening of opinions. no one is right or wrong. it's just a matter of what makes your pregnancy individual. big congratulations to all who are with bump, and good luck to those who soon will be xx
