i see a lot of women say they get back pains... however... my back always hurts! always has, haha. i have great posture, but its just always sore and has muscle knots in it. i'm wondering if the pains from pregnancy are in any certain area of your back... upper, middle, lower? and what sort of pains? dull, or shooting, or piercing? etc... thank you. :)

Commonly in early pregnancy is the annoying dull pain in the lower back, comparable to the feeling of back cramps of a period. Towards the end of the pregnancy (last trimester), shooting pain in the back is a common complaint. Sciatic nerve the culprit in most cases.
