What should my temp be if I am expecting AF in 1-4 days? In Farenheit, please! Do you have to test in the am? I have not been charting and I hope I am pregnant.

Kristina, I have been charting for about 4 mos and in my experience (it could be different for you) my temp jumps up in the 98 degree range beginnng a day or so after I ovulate, until the morning that my period REALLY starts. I have noticed that it will sometimes drop just a tad the day before I start (when you get the "pre-period" brownish stuff) but really fall the morning that it realllly starts. If you are pregnant, your temp will stay high right through the day that your period is due to start, etc. Hope my thoughts help.

Thanks so very much! I think since I have the BBT, I might as well start using it... any suggestions on how to get started or when?

They say to start with the first days of your period (but I guess you start charting whenever you buy the thing.)haha. Anyway, there are numbers of websites which have the chart that you can download and print. The one that I used was www.babycenter.com and then click on "preconception." They are all pretty much the same. Anyway, you just take your temp when you wake up before you get out of bed or do anything! Chart the temp and any other activity that you experienced. The website walks you through the entire process and gives you a "sample" one that you can look at to see what one is supposed to look like. Its pretty easy you just have to remember to do it. Like taking the pill. haha. You will start to see a definite pattern. Smiles.
