I keep reading different things. But I think your temp is higher whe are ovulating and stays elevated if you conceive. However, I hear there is also a temperature drop, but I don't know when/if that happens.

So if my temps are 98.2 in the morning and 99.2 in the evening does that I mean I probably wasn't successful this month? This has been going on for the past week.

I temped for awhile to aid in conception. You need to take your temp every morning before rising. If you take it after movement or activity can alter it. Then after taking your temp each morning chart it on a program. Fertility friend is great since you can use the charting part for free. When a temp rise, and it is slight, is seen, it indicates that ovulation did take place. This is good to know that you do ovulate and then helps to predict future months. When pregnant, your temp will stay above your coverline. When af is coming your temp dips. Def check out www.fertilityfriend.com. They have great instructions.

Comparing temps in the morning to evening is futile. In order to chart temps properly you have to take it at the same time everyday...and this is befor eyou get out of bed. Looking at your temps in the am and then the pm tells you nothing. Tmeps are always higher after you rise and throughout the day compared to the morning because yoru heartrate is at a higher level.
