How does charting your temp work? Is it cycle by cycle? What changes should you see when you are ovulating and what changes should you see if you are pregnant? I have an avg 29 day cycle and am on cd 5 today. According to mymonthlycycle chart i am due to ovulate on or around july 9th. Can you use a regular thermometer? Any help would be appreciated :)

check out fertilityfriend.com it should be helpful. You have to use a digital thermometer and take your temp at the exact same time every morning...before you get up, talk, eat...before anything.

You should use a basal thermometer. Charting is cycle by cycle. You start taking your temp on cd 1 and youre suppose to monitor your cervical mucus and mark it down on the calander as well. Your suppose see your temp rise after ovulation. http://www.webwomb.com/ this place will help you along to better understand.

zengiel dont know if this will help or not but my ob/gyn had me temping before i went to see specialist and i asked him if i needed to buy a basal themometer and he said no just get a gla__s mercury thermometer cause they are more accurate and it would be fine and no need to spend alot of money on a basal body thermometer

Actually the digital thermometer is better than the mercury one. You cant get them for 10$ or less at any drug store.
