I had my tubes tide about 12 years ago they were not clipped or burned just tied. I have been gaining a lot of weight and I have symptoms of pregnancy and I missed a period in February of this year and all the other periods are just spotting , can i possibley be pregnant and I feel like butterflies in my stomach already. I have nauseness and dizziness. I need some information as soon as possible I also took a home pregnancy test and was tested positive and I took one at a clinic and tested negative??

When did you take a hpt? Just recently? And did you see a clear 'positive' result on time, I mean not just a faint evaporation line? I can't understand how the clinic one would be negative, if you tested positive..unless you were only just pregnant and the clinic test wasn't as sensitive. Did you get a blood test done or a urine? If you are concerned, you should try and get an u/s because only that will really show you if there is a baby inside. Please let us know how you are doing..hope things work out for you.

hi - June 13

my mom had her tubes tied after she had me 1981 and in 1993-12 years later, she found out she was pregnant with my sister who just turned 12 in march! So, it is possible!!

I took a pregnancy test on June 2nd and the clinic test was in March of 2005.

Yes it is possible to get pregnant with a tubal. The hormones may just not have been high enough to test in march. I would go to the dr and seek a blood test to test the levels and make sure the baby is not in one of your tubes. Also how long did you waite to read the results of your pregnancy test?

Hey Angela..I would say you are definitely pregnant; if you got a postive on a home test, 3 months after you tested negative at the clinic. It was probably too early in March. If you got a clear second line within the time frame it is supposed to show up, then you are pregnant. I would say congrats are in order, if you are not too shocked at the news! I'd go back to the doctor and get an ultrasound. Keep us updated!!

the home test was faded but showed positive there was two lines for yes and one line for no and the the test at the clinic was a urine test and when I called back for results they said it was negative. I am wondering about tubal pregnancy too, it that is possible?

Yeah its possible. I would see a doctor(OB/GYN) asap. Good Luck!!!!!

For women who have had tubal lilagations the rate of tubal pregnancys goes up. Scar tissue builds up not alowing for the egg to pa__s. I would seek a blood test and ultrasound. But it sure does sound like you are very much pregnant.

Thank you for your help with my question and I will be seeing a doctor really soon... Thanks!!

Angela..If you got pregnant some time ago, like back in January, February (or even March) then you definitely don't have an ectopic pregnancy. Because an ectopic would most likely be painful by about 6 weeks and rupture anywhere between then and 12 weeks of pregnancy. However, it would be almost unheard of to go 12 weeks without any pain at all or other symptoms. So, if you don't have any pain to one side (by the ovary) or extreme tenderness or fever but you do have flutterings in your stomach then I would say you are pregnant in your uterus! I know it must be a shock but isn't it also kind of exciting? I wish you so much the best!!

I have been having severe pain on my left side for quite some time now and I just take some Ibpoforen or tylonol for the pain and it feels like a cramping like my period but with out the period.
