During a cycle can one not ovulate. I have a 39 day cycle and I'm surppose to ovulate the 16th thru 20th, however, I don't have any cm at all. I normally have a little cm before ovulation but not this month. Is this normal? Is this a sign that I might not ovulate this month? Please Help!

Hi Mary - February 15

I was like you I did not think I was ovulating at all, all women are different and I think I read somewhere that not all women ovulate every month. It's all very frustrating I know so I went out and bought myself a few ovulation test kits and basically used them for the whole month until one told me what I wanted to hear (story of our lives eh!) This worked for me as it took the worry and stress away. I hope this helps.

Mary~ I also averaged a 39 day cycle, so I did the math and determined when I should ovulate. My last period was Jan 19th, so I was supposed to ovulate around the 6th of Feb. I didn't. I ended up starting my period instead. Went to the doctor because of this "irregular bleeding" and was told that I just had a 21 day cycle. I had always had a long cycle, so I was alarmed when this one was so short. I am ovulating (and hopefully conceived last night) now. Hope this helps. :o)

Sorry, what I was trying to say with all that was, your cycles could be adjusting and this could be why you haven't ovulated yet. Hang in there.

I didn't think I ovulated the month of December because of a lack of cm.....I ended up getting pregnant that month and am now 9 weeks!
