I TOOK AN AT HOME PREGNANCY TEST AND IT HAD A FAINT POSITIVE SIGN I THEN WENT TO THE DOCTOR AND TOOK A BLOOD TEST AND THEY SAID THAT WITH A SCALE OF 4-25 I WAS A 23. THAT WAS TUESDAY. WEDNESDAY I STARTED TO SPOT AND TODAY MY FLOW IS CONSISTENT. CAN I STILL BE PREGNANT OR DID I LOOSE THE PREGNANCY? I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY RESPONSES.

You can still be pregnant. Call your doctor immediately.

THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSE I'M SOO CONFUSED. I ACTUALLY WENT TO THE DOCTOR TODAY AND THEY TOOK ANOTHER BLOOD TEST SO I WILL SEE THE RESULTS TOMORROW. I THOUGHT BLOOD TESTS WERE THE MOST ACCURATE BUT WHO KNOWS.

Quant_tative blood tests are very accurate. They probably took your blood again to see if your levels are rising. If they are, then you should be fine. It's only a worry if they're declining.

Has anyone else gotten a period and ended up pregnant. Period ended a few days ago and for last couple days I have felt totally c___ppy, flu like symptoms. I suppose I am wondering if I should bother testing at all or just a__sume I have a virus right now.

Techinically the answer is NO. You can just have some bleeding or more commonly spotting while pregnant but not a period. Your period only come on when you ovulated and that cannot be done when your pregnant.

I agree with Emma2 it isn't a period, but I have read that some women do bleed during their pregnancy's, I am going through somewhat of confusion as well, I think I concieved March 7th or th 10th, but after that I started bleeding like it was my period kinda thing, so I thought I wasn't b/c of that, wasn't really heavy but wasn't light at all, that was March 21st -27th (26th Day of my Cycle) was somewhat heavy for like 2 days not even then stopped completely then started again, was light for 2 days, then 1 day it almost looked liked a normal period, then I only spotted the next day and stopped, then spotted the day after, next one was on (29th Day of Cycle) April 18th - 24th, 1st 2 days bled then for the next 5 days had just spotted here and there. Now I am not saying it was my period, dunno what the hell it was, but its driving me crazy cuz I am starting to feel like I am pregnant, if I am I would be 11 wks, I am very emotional and B___hy(lol) Not fun, Tired, Sleep has been totally off, had nausea a bit but that stopped, Migraines but I get that normally but these ones have been bad, Bloated, very hungry lately, and I have gained some weight. So I dunno. I am on my 29th day of my cycle for this month and still no period don't even feel like I am going to get it, if I don't get it tomorrow or the next day I am heading to the drug store. Will let ya'll know! P.S. Its nice to know I am not the only one that is going through this and to have other women to talk to about things concerning pregnancy, that have been already through this or are going through it. Thank you for your time and patience with us newbies!

I had a friend who had a regular period and thought nothing of it until she missed it one month. When she went to the doctors he told her that she was 5 months preg.

As Emma said, one can bleed while pregnant, but it's not a period - even if it happens at the exact same time a period would. We're talking semantics here - bleeding, yes, period, no.

Maren - May 17

Well, I am probably just sick. I was just feeling out what the chances were, and if I should test to make sure. The bleeding I experienced seemed like a normal period. But, I could see how a regular period could be mistaken for heavy spotting. I'm still sick, you'd think all the vitamins I am taking I could avoid getting sick.
