Cats Sensing Pregnancy

Can animals, especially cats sense pregnancy? My 8 year old tabby cat has always been the kind of cat that likes to be alone---but lately, since i've been suspecting pregnancy, he's been on my lap whenever I am sitting down.

Animals have a great sense of things. It is said that in nursing homes where there are cats, the cats will go and sit with patients who are near death or ill. Anyway, I have one cat who also likes to be alone - can be rather snotty when you try to pick her up even. But since I got pg, she sits in my lap all the time and sleeps snuggled up next to me. I know this is weird, but that was one of my first signs that I was pg - it was just such unusual behavior for her.

my cat has been doing the exact some thing, she won't even play fight or anything all she does is fallow me around and lay on me she is always snuggled up next to me.

Surprisingly my cat isnt a people person either, and I've been having the feeling that I am expecting, got a couple days before AF is supposed to be here, and for the past few days my cat has been sleeping beside me every night, following me where I go and sleeping on my feet or legs.

My cat sensed my pregnancy. She would sniff all over my face and neck. I think they smell the hormonal changes?
