I have been having a few problems lately. I have been charting and keeping track of my cervical position. I found something odd this month. I am supposed to get my period today, and I don't even feel like it is coming. My cervix is also really wet, high, and soft. It is supposed to be low, hard and dry at this time. I am really confused about what is going on. I missed my period last month, but I spotted for a few days the week before I was supposed to get it. I took a test, but it was negative. (the day after my missed period) Lately, I have just not been feeling myself. I have been slightly nauseous, my boobs have mont. tubules, my back has been killing me, my belly feels like is pulling in knots really low (kind of like a rubber band stretching), and my temps are still high, and need I say MOODY!! I am surprised that my husband didn't divorce me. I don't know what is going on. My breasts are not sore though. Could I still be preg. even if I tested neg. the day after my first missed period? Has this happened to anyone else before??? I am going insane. I hope nothing is wrong with me.

I would wait a few days and test again. Lots of women won't test positive until they are a week or more late. Your signs are very positive. Until I knew for sure I would assume you were. Hang in there!

yes - you can be pregnant even if you teste neg the day after your missed period. take another HPT. good luck!

Thanks. I am still going nuts. I am afraid that it is going to come out negative again, and then I would have wasted another test...but I seem positive??? I am nervous. wish me luck.

Why is my cervix soft though? I am not really understanding what is going on... Just say that I am not pregnant....what else could it be? I mean, I don't want to get my hopes up if I am going to be let down by the HPT again.....

Kimmie, if your temps have been high since ovulation 6 weeks ago, there is little doubt you are pregnant. You describe implantation spotting 5 weeks ago and a host of symptoms currently, including two missed periods (probably). Your high and soft cervix should feel closed, unlike at O. A home test a day after your missed period could easily be too early. Take another one after supper tonight and come back and tell us what it says. Remember the date 9/11. Good luck!

Hey ladies. I think I may have just got my period. I didn't test last night because my temp dropped a bit, so I think my hopes are over. :( Bummer. The only difference is ( beware: tmi) really watery and brown. Not really "bloody." But who knows if it will change later. Thanks for all your help though. Try again next cycle. :(

I am so bummed. Could I still be preg. since it is light and not the right coloring? Or should I not be bleeding, period???

bump bump

Kimmie, I'm a test freak so I'd be testing right now! But, maybe you should wait and see if the bleeding turns into anything more. If it doesn't...test!

KimmieB008 - February 3rd, 2006 10:22 AM

Okay...I only had the bleeding two days, and it was never normal coloring. It was brown and light. I haven't felt my cervix....because ew...but I was wondering if that is normal for periods? Can they be only 2 days (not really) or is this a problem? No test yet. I am taking it tomorrow morning. I haven't had the chance to use one....should I test?? Or is it a waste?

You probably just had a weird period. My period is normally 5 days of a medium flow, and the past two months it was 1 day of a light, strange brown flow. It happens. I know I'm not pregnant, because my temperature dropped. My cervix was the softest it was all month during my period. If your basal temp is still up, then maybe you are pregnant, but if not, then you aren't. All you can do is test to find out. Nobody can "just say that you're not pregnant."

honey....take another test. That will calm your fears...Why dont you go to your doctor and have them perfom a urine test or blood test...they are quick and way more accurate than hpt

kimmie, so sorry you are so stressed out about this - you should really go to the doctor and get your answer.... good luck!!!
