Charting Temps Anyone

I have been trying to get/stay preg for 2 years (4 miscarriages). I had some bleeding/spotting around when my period was due (bleeding in am only) and that was around 2 weeks ago. My temps have not gone down from when I ovulated 4 weeks ago. My cervix is still down low. I have every preg symptom in the book. I have been preg 5 times so I know how it feels (I have a 3 year old angel). I stomach is so bloated that I cannot get most of my pants on (I have not gained a pound!). The most convincing symptom was this weekend when my husband and I were fooling around, I felt strong pressure/pain and had a small amount of blood after (this has only happened when I was preg). I have taken 4 HPT test and all neg including this morning and the test was suppose to read at 25! I know that when you want something so bad you can make your body feel things but can you make your temps increase and spotting occur!?!? Anyone had this experience or any advise. I hate to go for a blood test and have it come out neg. I think my doc already thinks I am crazy.

I am in the sam boart as you. MY husban and I have been trying to concieve for 6 months. This month I have been keeping track of my temperature. I clearly ovulated on the 15th day of my cycle. Then 7 days later I had a dip which could've been due to implantation, and then my temperature increased again to a new level where it now stays. I am now 6 days late and my temp is still up, but HPT is negative. I am so confused. And I don't think that I can mentally keep my temp up. Something is going on. Keep me informed.

I am so glad there is someone else in the same boat. I have not been able to find any info on the web...not even another cause for elevated BBT beyond 14 days. Are you having any PG symptoms?

alot of people on the site say that they don't get a BFP until way into their pregnancy..2 would try one more hpt and if your temp is still up, get a blood test. I don't think temp is something you can change by thinking of it (otherwise mine would be up too). Don't they say after 18 high temp chances are that you're pregnant- so, there you go!

All of this seems to point to pregnancy. But it's strange that 2 weeks past missed AF, stilll getting BFN's. With my youngest child, it was almost 2 weeks after missed AF until I got a faint positive. Sometimes levels rise slower than other times. I would get a quant_tative hcg blood test. This will tell you your exact level of hcg hormone. Good luck and keep us posted! I'm really interested to see how this turns out.

Well, my period finally came today, 7 days late. My temp was up for about 19 days. So this just completely frusrates me when trying to use BBT. Thanks for your help everyone. Better luck next time! Susan, I actually wasn't having any symptoms, I thought sometimes I was feeling dizzy (but that could've been in my head) And I was tired a lot (But that's not uncommon for me :-) ) Other than that there was nothing.

sorry Erin- is it a normal period? Is your temp stil up- or did it drop with your period?

Erin - February 23

My temp dropped a little yesterday, nothing alarming, but then today it really dropped and then my period came a few hours later. It seems to be a normal period.

Erin - I am sorry to hear your AF arrived. My temps are still up...29 days now. My b___st size has increased to where I have bruising on them from my bra. My next period would be due on the 6th of March. I am going to wait and see if it comes. I will keep you posted.

can someone please explain the process of BBT Temp charting to me. I get the gyst, but don't really know how to. for the past three mornings, just for sport, I checked my temp using a digital thermometre (I realize that there is an actual BBT thermomentre, but they say that a digital would be ok) and my temp each moring was 98.3, my af is due on the 28th, anyone know if this could mean something?? Thanks much!!

Alex:Keep checking your temps first thing before you get out of bed. You have probably already ovulated. Either just before or just after you get AF your temp should drop approx .5 of a degree. Keep temping. Your temp will go up again just after you ovulate. After a couple of months you can pretty much see when you ovulate. Just take the day the temp usually goes up and count back a couple of days. If the temp doesn't go down with AF it is a sign of pregnancy. I hope this helps.

Susan thank you actually I would have ovulated somewhere around the 14th and so I guess I am just wondering if the higher temp could mean that I might finally have succeeded!!
