okay..so we know about how early you can tell ur pregnant....but what is the furthest along that you could be and not know that you are pregnant...i mean, i thought it was possible i could have been 6 or so months pregtnant--all tests came back saying "no"....if i would have been pregnant, i would know by now for sure, correct?

hi sharon, the only way to tell for sure is to either get an ultrasound, which will show the baby, or to have a dr listen for fetal heart tones (baby's heartbeat in your tummy). There are no other explanations, medically, for the viewing of a baby on ultrasound or hearing baby's heartbeat. All other pregnancy signs can be caused by other things, some more common than others. It's not the greatest idea, but if you were so inclined you could get a little contraption they sell in maternity or baby stores that lets you listen to your own baby's heartbeat using earphones and a listening device. Never used one myself so I don't know if they work, or how well they work. A dr can hear it for sure, though.

http://www.gynob.com/fh.htm shows that at 6 months your uterus would have stretched to above your belly b___ton. You would be in maternity clothes.
