Confused LH Readings

I've been doing ovulation tests for the past month and have had what i think is a posotive reading on Friday 8. The LH line was almost the same as the test line just ever so slightly thinner. This really stands out compared to all the other tests i've done as they either showed nothing at all or just a real faint line. However what's confusing is again today i've had another definate line come up. What does this mean? Thanks. x

You are still in your surge period. Girl, you better get to "baby-making". LOL. I used the ovulation test strips. One day, the line brightened up to nearly as bright as the control line. That is when we got busy... well, busier. The next day it was way darker, the next day it was even color, and the next day it was about like it was that first day. And from then on, it gradually got back to where it was before (really faint). I continued to test for 5 or 6 days after the surge, just to see what happens. And that is what happened. Chances are, tomorrow you will get a definite line also. Absolutely nothing to worry about. Just means it's time!! Good luck.

Thanks for your words of experince - did it work for you, are you now pregnant? Whats confusing me is that, unlike your experience, the tests was definatley negative the two days in between. i always test at roughly the same time of day, so i can rule that out as a reason. but as you say the two i am calling positive could not be confused for anything but that. i have been on the pill for many years and since coming off the pill 6 months ago have not really had a "proper" period, hence teh reason i am testing everyday. we are also baby making every night. (and yes he is very tired) do you still think its a surge having read this? Thanks x.

Yes, I am pregnant now. I really do think it was your surge. Not positive why there was that break in between the 2, though. Maybe your urine was more concentrated. I read that the urine isn't supposed to be concentrated - like from not having peed overnight, or from not having peed for a few hours. I think most definitely your body is/was in the surge period. Maybe the 2 days between were where it would have been the darkest, but for some reason didn't show up. I, too, do not have regular periods when I am off of the pill. That's the good thing about those ovulation tests! We know when it's time. Keep up the baby making, tell your man to eat his Wheaties so he can keep up! LOL. Good luck!
