Confused So Badly

please help - April 18

I am so confused. I see on here and everywhere that you shouldnt' test until your next period is due. What about if you know what day you conceived? Do you still have to wait until the next month for your scheduled period to test? Is it something about the HCG levels are higher on your next period or what? I don't understand. Like if someone conceived on April 1st and your period is very late that month. Do you have to wait until the next month to get an accurate test result?

Hey there - this is as best as I understand it.....and I do know that each person is different, but here goes.... If you have a normal 28 day cycle you are generally (as the rule goes) most fertile around Day 14. This is when you would most likely conceive. Then you have 14 days til your next period is due. Some ladies get a positive test before their period due date (ie before Day 28 of the cycle) and some only get a positive a week or so after they missed their period. Some have had to wait 2 months before getting a post_tive hpT! The theory is that the HcG levels double every day once implantation of the fertisiled egg has occurred. (And this can happen between days 7 to 12, so it is said;) After implantation has occurred your levels will keep doubling and you should soon be able to get a positive test. Hope this helps. And good luck ;)
