Could I Be Pregnant -pg20

anxious - August 10

I feel really stupid for asking this because I already have three children but my last child is 6 yrs old. I have had two miscarraiges within the last year but I didn't have any pregnancy sypmtom..morning sickness, br___t tenderness like I did for my first three pregnancies..My question is now I am having a lot of pregnancy symptoms but my period isn't due for two days. I have taken a pregnancy test that is negative. Could I still be pregnant? I am very anxious but I also feel some slight cramping and I usually don't have cramps until I start bleeding. I am also in my 30's now and I've read that it is sometimes harder to conceive in your thirties. Thank you.

A pregnancy test will always produce a negative result (even if you are pregnant) if you test too early. They work from the day your period is due. If you take a test on your due date and it is negative, wait 3 days and if your period still hasn't arrived, take another test.

There are early pregnancy tests that are available that allow women to test four to three days prior to a expected period. If you cannot wait, go to your doctor and ask for a blood test to be done, they are more sensitive. There are two types, qualitative (which measures the HCG in your bloodstream and gives you a yes or no answer to being pregnant) and quant_tative which measures exactly how much pregnancy hormone is in your system (anything over 5 is considered positive pregnancy).
