Did I Miscarry

Hi. Its my first time here. I had my period on 5th Sept. A week before that I had abdomine pain on my left side for about 10 minutes. My husband and I had s_x around ovulation, and during the time of the pain in my abdomine as I thought I may be ovulating. My cycle is 25 days (from the day I start period to the day before my next period starts). When my period came I was sad because we had s_x around the right days so I thought it may work. But during my period which is normal not too heavy, on the 3rd day I saw some clot bloods with my red blood I get as my period. Is this a miscarriage. How can you tell if you miscarry. Also, do you think that pain I got a week before my period was ovulation or pregnancy symptom. If ovulation, can a woman ovulate a week before her period? I appreciate your help as I am here feeling low and I have been trying to conceive for 5/6 months now.

Keep trying. It can take a year for a young 20s, longer as you get older. My guess, like yours, is that the short pain in the left side was from ovulation. I'm wondering how you know when you ovulate. If you are counting 14 days from the beginning of your last period, you are probably missing ovulation by a day or two, being as your cycle is only 25 days. Sperm lasts longer in you than the egg. In your case I would start trying to conceive as soon as your period ends. Learn about watching for ovulation at http://www.ppowb.org/fertility.htm

I have been counting 14 backwards from the day before my next cycle. The thing is if the pain was my ovulation then that means I ovulated a week before my period can it be that late in the month to ovulate. I can't tell you how nice it is to hear someone hear me and my worries. thanks lol. I'm 27 and 1st time trying to conceive a baby.

The alternative I considerd was that the pain was from implantation and the clots were a miscarriage. I discarded this as implantation involves spotting but not pain. At your age and trying to conceive I would be out there in the home pregnancy section buying a Basal Body Temperature thermometer and learning how to feel my cervix for position and mucus at ovulation. I might even be teaching my husband to feel for my cervix with his p___s during intercourse, just so he knows what it normally feels like (sounds like fun, eh?). The day he can't find it is the day to give it his all. Stay on your back to let things soak in!

I to thought maybe it was a miscarriage of 1 week, based on the clots. so does this now affect my cycle for this month, or does it stay 25 days and will I still ovulate. As for checking, I check my mucus but I never seem to detect the clear white mucus, just milky, unstretchy, sticky mucus. I don't seem to get the ovul mucus. does this mean anything. I feel for my cervix but I can't seem to know when its open or closed. I am not so understanding because I was a virgin a year ago so I didn't used to ask or pay attention to such things. Sometimes my cervix is high other days its low but the position changes more than three times in 1 cycle. about your husband feeling with his p___s, that's amazing, it would be a great way if you make it work. I hope it everything works well, however long you've been ttc. Baby dust your way. Good luck Viv.

I came on 2 and half weeks late last month and as soon as i began to bleed i had clots, now i just took it as a normal period, but reading your story i may too have had a miscarriage. I also feel that this period lasted longer than my normal periods. Can anyone tell me if I did have a miscarriage or I just came on late. I dont know if all of my cylce is totaly messed up now. I suppose i should just keep trying.
