Does Faint Positive ALWAYS Mean Positive

Hi All - I know this question gets asked a million times but in scrolling through the posts, I can't seem to find a recent answer. I took two dollar store HPTs and both showed a very faint positive within 5 minutes. I know it says we are not to interpret the test results after that 5 minute timeframe. AF was due yesterday. I took one test last night and one this morning with the first urine. Are false negatives more common than false positives? Anyone get a false positive? Just wondering, as I've had 3 mc in 4 years, the most recent being in March, and I'm very nervous to go through this again. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!!

If it showed up in 5 minutes, I'd say you're good. I have some dollar store ones on me and I just looked, they said "In 1 to 3 minutes a color line will appear in the C area indicating the test is finished" C, as in control, letting you know the test worked. But, it only said the C line... why? Because it says it's invalid if nothing appears after 10 minutes (and can only be read up to 10 minutes). I interpret that as: the pee is totally soaked after 1-3 minutes, the total *reaction* time can be anywhere from 1-10 minutes. But don't read after 10 minutes. So if yours was 5.. then that's a +
