Hi....I am expecting Af tomorrow but I took a dollar store test this morning and got a BFP i think. i had two lines but one was a little faint. (on a scale of 1-10, 10 being dark it was a 6). Is it possible to have gotten a light result bc its still a little early to detect the right about of the PG hormone? Help! I am in limbo here!

The lightness of a line on an hpt often depends more on the amount of dye in the test than on the amount of hcg in the urine. I got faint lines with every test I took (including dollar store tests) and although it was a week before my period was due, my hcg was about the norm for a period being late. So, yes, light lines do mean positive tests. Congratulations!

Mollie - do you remember getting implantation bleeding? and if so how long ago? I am 2 days late and tested this am w/ a dollar store test and not even a faint line :( I am hoping to hear that it takes some longer than others which is common sense, but you know when you just need to hear it?

This is, if i am indeed PG, my first so i am by no means an expert. I did not have any IB but I think its rare for women to have - or at least more likely that a woman will not have any. I just took another dollar store test and got another faint line in about 2 mins. I am hoping its a + but i dont want to get my hopes up. AS for your situation, if you are generally regular and are indeed 2 days late, try taking a more expensive test that is more sensitive. Dont give up - Ive read lots of womens stories where they didnt get a + for 8 weeks!
