dragonlady1380 - March 10

its colder than a witches t_t ive never heard that one before and ive heard a lot of witch ones

beebee4mee - March 10

Oh, I've heard that one for sure!! I'm in Nebraska, it definitely gets colder than even that out here! And I feel for our ladies further north! :o) Today it's nice though, according to the local web-site it's 44F out. Decent jacket weather, my parka and scarf are too warm. ;o)

mrsherzog - March 10

Dragon, you must have missed our previous thread discussing all the t_t sayings we know. it is beautiful here in WI...about 38 and sunny...feels warmer than that though!

beebee4mee - March 10

mrsherzog ~ I totally missed that you were from WI! I had a childhood friend (grd 1-12+) that spent a few years up there after college. If I remember correctly he wasn't crazy about it. :o) I've never even pa__sed thru, what's it like up there? And Jenn, I never caught if you were in the city or a burb? I have a friend there too. She works for the Rockefellers (sp?), and also in off-Broadway productions in her spare time. She's loved it there since day one, and been sooooo lucky having landed a job with the above family corp. right from the get-go and kept it. Makes me green! ;o) I always wanted to get out of NE, spent a few years in San Francisco and now here I am back in NE.

unfortunately im in the city, not manhattan but a coop in queens (7 min from manhattan if theres no traffic) used to be able to see the towers from the roof :( but i HATE it, i want to move to florida...i want a house with a yard and three seasons instead of four...whats a hurricane here or there

beebee4mee - March 10

I hear ya, my SO wants to move to Florida too. He grew up there. However we hate the humidity here in the summer, I can't imagine it down there. Plus I'm not a fan of insects the size of birds, or a lot of other scary wild-life they have down there. Not to mention the crime, but you live in NYC so that wouldn't make as big a difference to you, huh. Also, I don't want to be one of the fat ughly people among all those pretty-surgically-enhanced people. Talk about an ego hit, YIKES!! But I could definitely do with only 3 seasons! Snow is pretty, but I'd be ecstatic to have it only be cold enough for snow one week a year. The week from Christmas to New Year's. When it's supposed to be a holiday wonderland. :o)

Jezebel - March 10

whyd you have to go there w/the insects the size of birds comment...shut UP i pretend not to know lol yeah its humid but its humid here too so its not soo bad & as for crime, depending on where we go its MUCH better than here anyway, my neighbor got mugged in our lobby at 12 noon a few months ago...id do anything to get out of here

Hi Girls! I'm sort of fed-up with myself. It feels like I'm in limbo. I'm skipping at least a month or 2 ttc, I don't even know if I'm fertile and will only see gynae in April and will only hear from possible new jobs next week. It's like everything is just hanging. I'm getting so frustrated, I just want to get on with my life. But then again, this is life, right? At least I have my loving dh and we're visiting my home-town again this weekend, so that helps, I miss my mommy!

Geez! I sound like Moaning Myrtle! While I was in the throes of my misery, I floated over to the "General Questions" board. There is a thread there, "TTC twins". It's about these women playing around with Clomid - some have it on prescription and some, apparantly, just orders it on-line. So they are upping the dosages so that they can conceive multiples. Some are seeing their doctors (without the poor doc knowing about them altering the dosage) but there are some that do it completely without doctor supervision, as far as I can gather. It sounds so dangerous! I guess that is how women get pregnant with 8 or more, like you sometimes read about in the papers. I suppose it can happen on a normal dosage (so don't burn me on a stake), but it seems like these women are tampering badly with their own as well as their children's health. I'll refrain from commenting there, with that amount of hormones going around, I'll get my head ripped off if I say anything. I feel better, I'm not the craziest ttc'er I've read about. ROFLMAO!

Oh, and btw, about the insects: I've always thought I've seen a decent amount of spiders going around. But since moving to Pretoria, they are just friggen everywhere, there are soooo many, some quite big too, over 5 inches diameter, it's gross! Poor hubby has this thing about spiders, lucky I don't! I don't get it, it's a large city, you'd think the spiders would have scuttled off somewhere, but no!

bbdreams - March 11

Hey girls...just thought I'd pop in and say hello. I'm having a more relaxed month, trying not to stress out and focus on everything so darn much! Although I may start temping tomorrow just so I can see 'o' - which should happen anytime between this weekend coming up and Easter weekend. Sigh - how are you ladies doing?

Tonigirl - March 11

G' Morning girls. Well, I've got my dr appointment today. Although, I had to cancel an after school cla__s that I teach and I haven't heard from the powers that be if it's going to be an acceptable thing that I can't teach the cla__s. I"m not going to cancel my appointment, so they are going to have to find someone. I was able to get an earlier appointment than some because of the m/c over the summer...so what I need right now is the peace of mind that my hcg levels are progressing at a normal pace. So, I'll let you girls know how it goes this afternoon. Oh, and Jenn...about the time zone thing....for some reason I was talking about the sunrise and sunset in the summer....I have not clue why...no wonder I was so confusing. The point was that AZ HATES daylight savings time and I would agree...I never saw the need for it myself when I lived there. The state tried it when it first began and the people voted it down. Anyway...not important...sorry I'm so stinkin' confusing....I'll blame it on the baby...I feel like my head is in a friggin' fog the entire time...ugh.
