Are you on any medications that might set your hormones off balance? That could be why you are lactating (or you could infact be pg). I would call the doc and make an apt right away for a blood test to test for pregnancy and prolactin. It sounds like you are showing some early pg signs, but I would get to the docs to be sure. It's difficult to judge since your cycles have been regular, but you could be farther along and beginning milk production already. Let us know what happens!

This may sound silly, but have you been around any babies lately (friends, family?). It is rare, but some women have been known to start producing milk when hearing a new baby cry, even though they are not the mother! I am just throwing all of these options out, of course, the easy explaination is that you are pregnant. Have you taken a home pregnancy test?

It is possible that you are getting your period, but are still pregnant. Not all pregnancies are the same. Try to remember if you've had unprotected s_x lately. Also be on the look out for other pg symptoms. If you can, get a hpt, also make that docs apt as soon as you possible. If you are not pregnent, there is still something going on with you, that your doctor needs to know about. Keep us posted, and let me know the results if you can get your hands on a hpt.

Amanda, I started lactating at the age of 16. It was so strange but it is due to the pituitary gland and prolactin. They thought I had a tumor in the pituitary but it turns out its just a few cells doing their own thing, which causes me to have an elevated prolactin level, hence lactation. It is called: GALACTORHEA. I am sure you may be referred to an endocrinologist to examine what is happening. They will draw your blood first to check your prolactin level. Let us know what happens. I am still lactating 15 years later. Just a bit but enough to notice.
