Feeling Pregnant Too Early To Tell

I have one child (7 yrs) but have been trying VERY ACTIVELY for the past 13 months to get pregnant. Every month I think that I am successful and then every month my period comes along with the disappointment of yet another month not pregnant. I also was on Clomid for three months with no luck. Last month was my last time taking Clomid, so I am really hopeful that this month I might have had some luck on my own. My GYN has tested for everything and anything and all is 100% normal. I also don't know exactly when my last period started nor what day I actually ovulated as my period is always strange (I always have 1-2 days of creamy pink discharge at the beginning of my period and am never sure which day to actually count as day 1 of my cycle). I started on August 23 which means I guess I ovulated on the 6th of this month. My husband and I had s_x on all of the "high fertility" days that week. Now I have another week to wait to see if it worked or not. I have been feeling really tired, cramping/pain in lower stomach and nauseous. Yesterday I had a spot of light red/creamy discharge in the AM when I wiped 5 this morning the same. I am on day 22/23 of my cycle and tested negative this morning on an in-home pregnancy test (I think it is still too early). Does anyone have any advice?

Wait until your period is for sure late, and then maybe a week before taking another test. Follow the directions to the letter. Your early pregnancy symptoms are encouraging. What is puzzling is that they started earlier than expected. Maybe you ovulated early. Do you try to track ovulation with BBT? If you had been doing that, the unusual pattern after implantaion would be a good extra clue.

Tonia, I had my period on the 25th of Aug. I took a test on the 9th and it came back positive. I used First Responce. I called the hot line to confirm, because to me this was really way to early to tell. I took another one and it came back neg. The first responce people told me that sometimes the test may be more senitive then others and if I have the 2 pink lines then I need to stay with the positive result. The test only pick up HCG when it is there. Anyway to answer your question. It is best to wait a few days to let the hormone build up and restest closer to your period. I am still waiting also. I think I am in disbelief of the test working so soon.

Viv - Thanks for your advice...I really appreciate it! I guess that I am going to have to be patient and wait another week to see if my period comes or not. If not, I will try testing again. Do you really think that my symptoms are earlier than normal? I read that implantation bleeding can occur from 7-10 days post ovulation. I think that this would be about right for me. I honestly don't know if I ovulated early. I have tried tracking but haven't had much luck with it. Thanks again for your help! Tonia

Alex - Thanks for your answer...I really appreciate it! After reading your response, I agree with you that it is really strange to have a positive back on the 9th considering that would only have been day 16 of your cycle. That seems almost impossible (but what do I know..ha!). I believe that I am on day 22 of my cycle (could possibly be day 22, 23 or 24...not really THAT sure) and tested negative. The test kit says that it is 60-something% accurate 4 days before the start date of next period. I agree with you that I need to wait to see if I get my period this weekend and to (possibly) test again if I don't (fingers crossed!!). Good luck with yours.....keep me posted, ok? Tonia

I think what may have happened is I ovulated eailer then what I thought. It is the only reasoning I can come up with. I do have other signs, but its all so confusing, Are they preg. signs or pms. I am about to call first responce and check to see when they think I can re test. Good luck to you!

Hi, everyone. I posted first on this site nearly a week ago. I am just so confused (and possibly disappointed) yet again. To summarize...I typically have a 26/27 day cycle. I believe the 1st day of my last cycle was on August 21-23. My husband and I had s_x frequently during the most fertile time in cycle. Starting on day 17-19 of cycle I started feeling sick, having cramps and heavy white discharge. From days 21/23 to days 23/25 of cycle I had very light red/pink/creamy discharge when wiping in the morning. I took a home test the beginning of this week and it was negative. My stomach is really bloated and my b___sts are really sore. I just "feel" pregnant this month...but this morning I had very light pink when wiping again. After that long-winded intro, I guess that my question is could the first spotting have been implantation and could the spotting this morning still be implantation? Has anyone else had this type of thing happen and later find out that she is pregnant? Please help...
