Fertility Hereditary

my grandmother had 7 children, and my mother (her daughter) had six, including me and my sister who are ALMOST one year apart EXACTLY. i was just curious if that could be hereditary, and make it maybe easier? or no? just a thought, comments appreciated :)

I don't really know. It would make sense if it's at least partly hereditary, but there have to be other factors as well, seeing as sometimes only one woman in a family will have particular fertility problems. I'm hoping it is, b/c the other women in my family all got pregnant at the drop of a hat!

i think heredity probably plays a part in it (you know like how it can be hereditary to have twins) but some people come from huge families and have a hard time getting pregnant, most the women in my family are fertile myrtles EXCEPT the overweight women, my aunt had 5 miscarraiges before she finally had a healthy baby (she was about 160lbs, 5'0") and my sister bless her heart, hasn't used any kind of protection with her fiance ever but she still isn't pregnant, she is 5'7" 230lbs I feel so bad for her because she decided to start "trying" I see her having a very hard time
