Finally Have An Answer To My Long Cycles

Well ladies, I got a call from my dr today and I've tested positive for pcos. I am on the pill for 2 months, after the first cycle of pills I will have an hsg dye test and then after the 2nd cycle of bcp's I will have a baseline ultrasound. Then I will be put on letrozole and see what happens. We'll be having midcycle ultrasound to make sure everything is working good. Then she put me on metformin and I'll be taking that 2 times a day now. I'm just more relieved now that we have an answer to why I'm not getting a period and we now have a plan. But hopefully all of this will work and we can give our son a sibling. Anyone else with this?

Wow, I am glad you have your answer. It can be frustrating to not know! I have irregular cycles, but I kow I ovulate because I have had a progesterone level test and it indicates I ovulate. My cycles have been ranging between 31-34 days the last 7-8 months...but now its going haywire. I am just waiting this out! But I am happy you got your problem figured out!! =)

Hi Lanislee, it's good you know what's going on at least. Maybe try the problems getting pregnant forum - I think there are quite a few women on there with PCOS.
