When did you test and what kind of test did you use? I am just seeing if I should test yet for I am 10dpo and am getting impatient yet again.

I would recommend First Responce or the $tree tests. With the $tree tests DO NOT look at them after the allotted time frame. They are very know for evap lines but they detect low amounts of hcg so thats good. I used FR with my daughter and I tested positive 4 days before AF was due.

Keri, I know how grueling the 2WW is and I will NOT say don’t test ;-) Try to use FMU is you do though. BTW, your chart looks great…good luck!!

what IS the allotted time frame for the $ tree test???

I tested 12 dpo with an Answer Quick and Simple early test (from Walmart) and got a very faint positive...then I tested again at 14 dpo and got a dark positive.

Layni- it SHOULD say on the test....I'm not sure if it is 5 or 10 mins. But they should all come with instructions that tell the time frame.....did you get one that doesn't tell?

it is like 10 min....the evap don't usually appear til like an hour after. i am one of those people who look back at the test a hundred times to make sure it hasn't turned positive...lol

Layni- I just looked on PeeOnAStick.com and the info I found was that the dollar store tests are usually either called "Baby Test" or "New Choice". For either of these the valid time frame is 10 mins. They are sold at Dollar Tree and Dollar General. If any results show up after 10 mins then they are considered invalid. Hope this helps!

Most HPTs will have an allotted time of 5 mins....but I've never used $ tree tests either...

I used the $tree test with my last pregnancy and just love them, maybe cause it gave me a BFP then, but I didn't test until 11 days past when af was due so I wasn't sure what the sensitivity level was. And last time was with twins to boot so it was an even higher hcg at the time. I am the type of person to look at them a million times to see if they turned positive and never had the problem with an evap line on them though.

Even after I got a positive blood test, when I took the dollar tree tests it took almost 3 minutes for the line to show. Definitely wait the WHOLE 10 mins, but disregard anything that pops up suddenly at like 9-10 mins or later.

I got a faint barely there + on the dollar tree test, it is "new choice" and I would recommend the test to anyone. You cannot read anything after 10 minutes on them but for the price there amazignly good for picking up low lvls of HCG
