Getting Progressively More Noticeable Evaps Could It Be

I am officially one day late (11 DPO), having terrible AF cramps but no AF, and have taken three HPTs since yesterday. The thing is, while no line showed up within the time frame, an evap (or what I think is an evap) showed up on all 3 tests in about 30 minutes. Here's the kicker, the evap lines ARE GETTING SLIGHTLY DARKER and MORE NOTICEABLE!!! Could it possible be an actual second line and not an evap? My temps are still pretty high so I'm wondering if there's a chance. What do you all think?

11 dpo is a bit early to get a noticable double line...so it is possible. I say wait until tomorrow and test with first urine. Also you could try a digital test. It takes the guess work out.....Good luck.

what is evap?

What test are you using?

maddie - December 14

It could be a positive. I got mine at 10 dpo and thought it was an evap. It was slightly pink and def there.

Evaps are shadowy, indented marks where the test line would be, but do not mean BFP. Oh, and to answer your question, I am using internet cheapies (babywishes) which are SUPPOSED to be sensitive to 25 IU.

I used the cheapies also at first, but they were very hard to interpret. A few other on this site also had probs with them, maybe try a different test.

hi - December 14

Try a first response ,they have been doc_mented with a sensitivity of 6.9.

hello - December 14

I used internet cheapies too and the lines looked like evaporation lines at first too. I finally got a good line on them at 13 dpo but it took about 3 minutes to form. First Response gave me a pos(light) at 10 dpo. Sounds like you might be getting some faint lines...I do remember the internet cheapie line looking like a shadow. Good luck to you!

I think you might be pregnant. I had the same thing happen to me with those kind of test. Maybe you should go out and get a First Response. So excited for you! Let us know.

Allie - December 14

I'm on my way out right now to get a First Response. Wish me luck!! I'll update you when I get back!

Ok, here's the thing. I was on my way out to be a NON-internet cheapy HPT, but decided to do one more, especially since I have been holding my pea for a while. Anyways, I did it, and like before, I got an EVEN DARKER 'evap' line, this one is way more obvious too. I put them together and there is a definite progression of getting darker. The most recent one also has a purple hue to it. My question is this: If they were all evaps, wouldn't they LOOK the same? Why are they getting so much darker each time I take one? Also, this last one is the only one whose 2nd line came out within the time limit. It's still hard to see, but it's there!!!

Test tomorrow morning with first morning urine. It has to show up within ten minutes in order to be interpreted as a BFP. It has been my experience that the internet cheapies take more than three minutes to fully develop. I would read the test at 8 - 10 minutes for accuracy. By the way, I have had false positives with first response so I don't trust them at all. Also, I tested every day from 8dpo on with internet cheapies and first response and got my BFP on both the same day (12dpo), so I don't think they are more sensitive.

Oops I forgot, I finally tested with a clearblue digital because the others were faint lines. I would recommend using one of those because it says "pregnant" or "not pregnant". The answer is clear and you don't have to wonder whether it is a faint line or evap line. Good luck!

oh my gosh, that is how mine was! I am trying not to get you too excited, but those internet tests were doing the same thing to me . I saved mine..lol..and I just went and took a look and it sounds just like you are describing and I am 8 weeks pregnant. I am so excited for you. If you seen a line in the time limit, even if it is faint and looking evaporation like, that is very good. My first few internet tests showed a line after 20 minutes or so, so I thought they were evaporation lines and then I finally got a line after a minute or so, but it was still shadow evaporation looking. Those tests are picking up something...:0)
