I haven't been here in awhile, but now have a question. I ovulated (based on fertility friend carting)on 8/4 with a temp of 97.9 which is quite normal for me, then the next day temp dropped down to 97.4? Today back up at 98.0? I have made sure to bd everyday so we were covered, but now I am worried that I really didn't O? Why the drop then back up, and is this normal. I have been charting for a few months now and never have seen this. Thanks.

I don't think you should obsess about one temperature being out of line, though this was an important one. Remember the rule of thumb. As long as your temps earlier were below your established cover line and the temps after are above the cover line (with few exceptions) I think you can a__sume you ovulated. Remember the few days before ovulation are as fertile as the day of ovulation itself (sperm last up to 5 days). Once you have a handle on your various indicators, the fertile cm or an OPK will give you advance warning of coming ovulation. Good luck!

You probably just ovulated the next day when you were at 97.4,,,And today your temps are back up, which is normal since you ovulated. You're covered and maybe you won't have to worry about temps now, for a very long time....Baby dust..
