Depending on the website I go to, some say my implant day was the 11th and others say it was the 6th. What is going on ? The first day of my last period was Dec 18th. I think that means I O'd on the 1st ... But what next? I am trying to figure out when to take a hpt.. Please help... Thanks in advance!

Roxy, I believe ovulation can occur anywhere from 6 - 12 days after ovulation....and all women are different, and every pregnancy is different. There is not a "set " day for implantation for any woman. Every site I've ever read says that you should test accurately when your period is late and if neg. then wait a week and test again, if you don't start your period. Not that we all follow that rule, alot of us test early cause we are impatient.......but it is recommended. If you O'd on the 1st of Jan. then you would be 10 dpo ( days past ovulation ) and some women get a bfp as early as 9 - 10 dpo. If you are impatient and dont mind risking a neg. hpt this early, then test. If not, wait until period is late. God bless! Hope I helped a bit.....

There's no way to tell the exact day an egg implants. It typically takes 6 - 12 days, however some people have implantation a little earlier or later than that. I'm curious as to what websites are saying that they can tell you when your implant day is because it is impossible. If you want to know when to take an hpt, your best shot is waiting until after your AF is due. If it is late take a test. If it is negative and still no AF, then wait a week and test again. Testing any earlier than that runs the risk of getting a BFN, even if you actually are pregnant.

That's funny...I just saw jeanettes answer right after I posted mine. What do you know...same advice!

OOps. I meant to say "implantation can occur from 6 - 12 days after O"

Yeah, Kaiser has this cycle board thing and last night she checked mine. Last period was dec.17 and "O" was 31 and implatation was 9th but I had what think was implatation yesterday.

Autumn, I've seen those sites and its just an estimate based on the average woman implanting around day 9. But everyone womans body is different....if day 9 was always the case, then every body would be getting bfp's earlier.

Thanks for the help ladies!!!

No, it wasnt a website. Its a board that gives you an estimate. I agree every womans body is different. If what I had was impl. bleeding then it would have been wrong because mine was on the 10th.

My advice is always to wait until you are a week late. That would be about Sat Jan 21st, first am pee. Amongst other things this minimizes the disappointment of a positive from a chemical pregnancy followed by an early loss. Good luck!
