Grandpa Viv Or Ladies Throwin A At Ya

I really am confused about my temps, can ya give some opinions? My temps starting at CD1 were 97.7 for CD 1,2,3 and 4 then 97.5 for CD5, and 97.8 for CD6, and THEN....98.4 for CD7/this AM....I had what I believe to be O pains, (but dismissed it cause I figured it was WAY too early) and also watery cm for cd5 and 6, and now back to creamy with a high and soft CP. Do ya think I ovulated already? I probably should wait to see what my temps do in the next few days, but wanted to see waht you girls thought or have any knowledge about a woman ovulating that soon after AF... FF says my O date is the 19th, but last month I ovulated 2 days earlier than they predicted...and I have been PERFECT about my temping so far this cycle, no ealry wakeups, at least 5 hours sleep every night, temp as SOON as I wake up when the alarm goes off, no interrupted sleep, nothing that would make my temp jump like that in 24 hours.....anyone have any thoughts or knowledge on this? Could it just be a fluke temp? And now that I think about it, I had a massive headache and nausea on CD5 which coincided with my suspected O pains and watery cm.

Hi Jeanette, I'm not sure about temping, haven't done it in years, but it's strange because I think I o at CD7 as well. Had the pain, watery cm, and the pain stopped. Then a couple of days later, I had the pain again. That's usually how I know that i have o. Pain, cm, pain again. Very weird that we both could have o'd that early in the cycle. But, I have heard that it's possible, especially when there was no o the previous month. I don't think i o'd in Dec. WEIRD!!! Anyway, bd bd bd. It's fun and it won't hurt a thing!!! :) Sticky baby dust to you :)

Thanks Tina....yeah, I think Dh and I are gonna do the every other day thing until after my predicted O date just to be sure. I guess I will see tomorrow after I temp cause my post O temps are always much higher than my pre O temps, so the next coupla days will tell me more....I have been reading on the net and have found sites that say that sometimes older women will have an earlier fertile period occasionally and often miss it because the fertile cm is mixed in with the period blood. My af was kinda mucusy this month too, but it is like that occasionally anyway, and it was very short-- less than 2 days-- I am worried that maybe this month is a no-go because my egg wouldnt have time to fully mature yet, not to mention my endometrial lining would have less than perfect conditions for an implant. So, maybe this month is a wash, but I willl leave it up to God....He can do things I can't. Sticky babydust to you too!!

Well, it's certainly possible that you ovulated already, but I guess you'll find out if your temp is elevated for a few more days. Last month was my first month temping, and since I wake up at the same time every day, I temped regularly and before anything else, even getting out of bed. My temp was 97.7 for three days (I didn't start temping until cd 14). Then it jumped to 98.2, dipped to 97.6 for one day, and then went back up to 98.4. Every day thereafter it was at a steady 98.6. I'd say that you either ovulated early or may see the quick jump and dip that I did before it finally rises for good. Who knows. Maybe even a few jumps and dips are possible (sorry, I know that doesn't help).

You have strong indications of early o. Research supports that this does sometimes happen. Good luck!

Thanks Lin..it threw me for a loop cause my Pre-O temps are usually low and steady...no real dips or rises, and very close to flat temps...its only near O and after O that I start seeing dips and spikes. I stay within .2 degrees usually with no real fluctuation before O...so when it spiked like that along with the other things going on, especially fertile cm (I never get fertile cm before mid-cycle and watery cm for me is fertile with just a trace of ewcm once or twice when I check my cervix )...so it really made me think my body was doing something early. I have since found out about women my age being perimenopausal, so an early fertile cycle is definately a possibility....I'll update on my temp in the AM, hopefully it won't be as confusing as the last few days......Grrrrrrr, why won't my body just cooperate???

Thanks Gramps for confirming and answering!

Well, the good thing is DH and I bd'd on cd5 and 6...so hopefully we hit the mark....but will continue to bd EOD until after my predicted O day just to cover bases.

I'm actually a bit curious about my O day this cycle as well. I've got all the signs of O already - high, soft, open cervix, lots of watery cm - but it's only cd 11. The last two months, I didn't ovulate until the 18th and 16th. That said, I don't have any opks, and my microscope hasn't arrived yet, so I'm not really sure how close I am. It certainly seems like it, though. We bd-ed both yesterday and today (just for the heck of it - not trying), so if I'm early I'm in good shape. Make sure and let us know your temps for the next couple days.

Ok, temp went back down to 97.8 this morning...lol! My body is screwing wit me....heh.
