I have heard that if you are still having your period and you are pregnant that your hcg levels would still be too low to detect. Is this true?? I would like to hear some real experiences if possible.

No real experience here, but this is the first time I have heard of the phenomenon you suggest. The level of hCG varies enormously from one pregnancy to another. See http://www.obfocus.com/questions/qanda7.htm (if any hyphens sneak into that URL, remove them before clicking)
