Just a guess: all sorts of things can happen coming off the pill. You do get little cramps and spotting with implantation. You get heavy bleeding with miscarriage. Your body is probably just trying to adjust to "no pill". Meanwhile, make sure to use protection unless you are planning to get pregnant.

Hi Chrissy, My periods were very regular before I went on the pill and for the few years in between bouts of using the pill. This time, however, when my husband and I decided to try for our first child, my body went a little crazy when I stopped taking the pill. It sounds like you're experiencing the same sorts of things. My OB recommended that I use an alternate form of birth control for a couple of months until my period righted itself. That way, we would have a much better chance of accurately predicting my due date. Its also a lot easier to conceive when you understand your cycle. After I got back on track, I was able to get pregnant the first month we tried because I understood my lutal phase. Try reading "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. Good luck!!
