HGC Levels In 4th Week Any Idea

Hi everyone! I have posted once before on this forum. Thx for all your help. Here goes my another question...I am one day late for AF and did a pregnancy test. It came back negative :( However I learned that the HGC level that particular brand pregnancy test (boots, uk) can track is 50 mIU (whatever that means). I made a bad choice buying that as I notice there are so many other tests which can be done at lower mIU levels. So when will ones HGC levels reach 50 mIU?? can anyone tell me how those levels are meant to be and how they will increase. I will try tetsing once again in couple of days (hopefully AF won't turn up) but it would be very nice to know about these HGC levels.

There are websites that have the ranges for each week. It's a HUGE range tho. I was 3-4 weeks with a HCG count of 433. If that helps at all. It should double every 2 days. However.

http://www.americanpregnancy.org/duringpregnancy/hcglevels.html Hey, above is one of the links to numbers. As you can see, numbers vary a lot. I think many pregnancies would pa__s a 50 mIU test by now, but that is a__suming the egg was fertilized at least 14 days prior to taking the test. If your period doesn't set in, just test again in a few days. Or, if you're anxious use a different brand. Good luck!!

Moni - I was. I miscarried 2 months ago. :(

That being said. My HCG levels should be taken with a grain of salt since they were probably out of wack.

The numeric level of HCG is not as important as it doubling every 24-36 hours and this can only be determined by having blood tests every couple of days. My HCG levels started off low at 41 at 3 weeks and by 4.5 weeks it was 356. I ended up miscarrying about two days after the 356 level was determined. The dr. was concerned from the first visit the levels were low. All the said, your levels should be within a certain range for where you are at and should be doubling consistently up to @ 12 weeks at which time it begins to level off. Good luck.
