I realise you may have answered these questions a millions time but maybe once more would be of great help to my wife and I - Hi there My wife was due her period on the 26th. Normally she has the usual symptoms of her period coming up (Mood Swings, Tender br___ts, stomach cramps) but this time she has not. At this point I should mention that we have been trying for our first child for a few months. Yesterday(the 28th) she tried the Clear Blue Pregnancy Test but the result was negative. As of today, she is two days late and still has not received her period. What advice would you give her at this point ? Can it take longer than your period day to discover pregnancy and also does the fact she is not receiving any of her normal period symptoms mean anything ?

Hi Joe, I think the missed period & lack of PMS symptoms is a sign that she may be pregnant. And, in fact it may have been too early to test 2 days after missed period. Most of the sensitive pregnancy tests don't even give accurate responses that early. I'd wait another week, and if she still doesn't get her period, test again. If it's negative, wait another week, and test again. If still negative, or no period 2 weeks after expected period, make a dr appointment for a blood test/checkup. Hope this helps!! Good luck! : )

Ditto, Miss Mandy's comment. ClearBlue isn't the most sensitive test either. It would behoove you to purchase seriously sensitive pregnancy tests on the Internet for way cheapie. The tests will test the smallest amount around 15 hcg's in her system. Much love to you both*****
