Is it possible to be ill immediately the day after conception? gassy, sick, passing out, etc? Or is it just (hopefully) the flu? I took a preg test and it came out negative...but I am still wondering...

No, not at all, thank goodness.
So do you think an immediate pregnancy reaction is possible? I have never heard of it, but I am not sure if it is possible...

the embryo would not be attached to uterus yet and there are no symptoms until it attaches to the wall of uterus. I would say you have a virus....hope you feel better soon. Good luck!

If you are taking your BC pills everyday, then I don't think you could be pregnant. I have never heard of an immediate pregnancy reaction the day after. (Although I have heard some women saying they just "felt" that they were pregnant) Jo, I wouldn't worry, I think it just may be the flu or cold...

It takes 6 - 12 days for a fertilized egg to implant into the uterus. Then it takes 3 - 4 days to build up enough hormone to be detected by a home pregnancy test. It is this hormone that causes you to feel symptoms. So, no, I don't believe you would feel symptoms the day after conception. For me, it wasn't until I was 6 weeks along before I had symptoms.
