HPT VS DR OFFICE TEST

I took 2 First response test and got a fint positive, next day I took Clear Blue Digital and got two positives. then I went to the Dr and they said the line was so faint that they wanted me to come back in Mon for another test unless I started AF. So out of curisoity I went and bought a test from the Dollar Tree, I took one of these a few days before the other ones and it was neg. but this time it was a fint + also. Has anyone else everyhad this happen

THe dr office tests are not ussually as sensitive as the hpt are. If you got pos at home and tested a faint pos at dr, it possible that the dr test has to have a higher hormone level to test pos.. My best educated guess is that you are preggers, good luck to you....

hello gretchen!! I think u r indeed preg. Some nurses r just like that, but my dr's nurse said a pos is pos no matter how faint, and he did the blood test and it was pos also. I had a nurse tell me yesterday that if u don't get a pos hpt then u r not preg, she said it should show the day after missed af. U and I both know that's not so, some don't get a pos til 2 months and some longer, she claimed they didn't do blood tests. Anyway, by monday u should have a pretty solid line. I am waiting for a bfp, still no af and no sign of her coming, she was due for the 21st, but I fear it will take me 2 months to get it, just like all the rest. Its all good, as long as I get one and don't mc. :) Wish me luck!!! Congrats!!!

btw, dollar store brands tend to test the higher levels similer to dr office test.

Good luck, I heard a pos is a pos, faint or not. I too was due for af on 10/21 and havent gotten af. I've been taking hpt's since and have all BFN's...No faint lines or anything. Babydust to you!!!
