I have read on other posts regarding this question that it CAN be a sign of pregnancy. I have also read the same thing on other pregnancy symptom websites. Unfortunately, pretty much ALL pg symptoms can also have another 'explanation' for them. Do you have any other 'symptoms' other than the one you mentioned?

MM - March 21

My most noticeable "symptom" is cramps. I don't know when af is due since I have very irregular periods but I only get cramps occasionally. These have been going on for 1.5-2 weeks.

Are these cramps 'ongoing'? Or just once in a blue moon? Are they mostly in the lowere middle abdomin area? On the left or right or both? What about lower back pain? Have you suffered from heartburn or excessive belching or gas? You might have other symptoms that you aren't even thinking are linked to you being possibly pg. When was your last af? The luteal phase is a minimum 10 days maximum 16 (although I don't think that's carved in stone - it seems to fit MOST women). That can give us an idea as to when you Ovulated or maybe even when your af is due. How far apart were your last 4 cycles? (hopefully you marked them on your calendar -although, that is something that I forget to do sometimes)

La Rae - I have been getting them on and off for the past two weeks. They are mostly in the lower middle abdomin area. My back does not hurt & I don't have heartburn but I have noticed that I seem a little more ga__sy than usual. My last af was Dec. 26 (but I had some blood on tissue when I wiped on Feb. 9) & before that I had a period early in Nov. (around the 7th) & the one before that was some time in Aug. (I didn't mark them on my calendar).

In regards to Feb 9th - was that just for one day? Has that happened to you before? Have you taken a preg test yet? Is your lower ab area unusually 'hard' now? Like, does it feel different than you remember it ever feeling? Have you had kids before? (if you haven't - then it would be EASY to not recognize the cla__sic pg symptoms) What about exhaustion? Been suffering from that lately? Any b___st changes (in how they feel or look?). With your cycles being so far apart - it would be hard to tell for you, when you've missed your period. If the spotting on 2/9 was all you did - that sounds an awful lot like Implantation Bleeding. Oh, and one more thing: are you on any kind of oral contraceptive?

La Rae - thanks for being so helpful! Re: Feb. 9th, it was only when I wiped. I put a pad on thinking it was af & then the next morning there was only very faint brown spotting on the pad. That has never happened before - af usually lasts about 5 days. I took tests on Fri afternoon (First Resp.) & Sun morning (Fact Plus) & they were both neg. I don't know if my lower ab area is unusually 'hard' now because I never checked it before, so I have no basis for comparison. It seems a little larger than before (pants a little tighter) but I may just be gaining weight. I have never had kids before (got married in Sept.) so I really don't know what to look for. I have been feeling pretty exhausted lately - getting to bed a little earlier but still really tired (e.g. I got 8 1/2 hours of sleep last night but I don't feel well-rested). My b___sts seem a little larger to me (but I could be imagining it or, again, it could be weight gain) but dh hasn't noticed. My nipples have been a little sensitive - sometimes I have a burning sensation, which I have never had before. I was on bc for about two years (Mar/02-Apr/04) - the only time I have ever been regular - once I stopped them I became irregular again. When I stopped them the only odd thing was that I had two periods within 2 1/2 weeks....I looked at a pregnancy calculator & it told me (based on 45 day cycle) that I ovulated Jan. 24 (dh & I had s_x that day) & that I would be about 10 weeks. Is it possible to be 10 weeks & still get neg. hpts?? ....so are you pregnant or ttc La Rae?

La Rae - March 21

Oh no - I am not pg. And I am on 'Hiatus' from ttc. I am actually going to be 'On The Market' for someone better than the man I was ttc with. Long story....and it's worth me keeping it to myself, believe me. I do have a child though (he's almost 13). A lot of what I experienced with him I have forgotten. But I do remember the extreme fatigue and extreme hunger in the early days of my pg. All of the other stuff I 'Seem' to know - come from what I have learned at other websites, as well as this one. Grandpa Viv knows a lot about fertility and pregnancy symptoms. He helps whenever he (amazingly) finds the time to help. Oh....and about the 10 weeks question: I didn't test pos until I was already going into my 8th week. And I have read posts on here from women who said they didn't test positive until 3 or even 4 months! Some of those might have had bleeding in the early months though - and that might have something to do with keeping the hcg levels low for longer than they should be. So...yeah - I think it's possible. But I think it's more possible that you might not be as far along as 10 weeks yet, either. If Feb 9 was implantation bleeding, then you should be showing up pos on a test by now. Now....just because that might not have been IB, that doesn't mean that you aren't pg. Have you taken a test at a doctor's office yet? You might want to request a blood test (quant_tive). I hope I'm not confusing you too much. I wish you luck in your quest for a positive test! Baby Dust to you - please keep me posted....

MM - March 23

Me too. I feel sick when I get hungry but afterwards I feel okay.

MM - March 23

Has anyone else experienced this?

MM - March 23

Test says no for me too. (And I'm very irregular so I can't go by af.)
