Hi, my doctor told me that I should stay away from ibuprofen and use paracetamol only. The reason she gave was that the ib could cause damage to a fetus/ follicle although very rare.

Yes, you should stay away from ibuprofen - it is an anti-inflammatory. The only pain reliever that I have heard of as being safe is Tylenol.

Thanks for all of your input. I just did some reading and YES, it does say to stay away from ib if ttc because it can prevent implantation.....hope the women on this forum are aware of this....

i took ibuprofen before i found out i was pregnant and did some research to see if it was dangerous or not. i read that about 85% of women in this study miscarried if they took ibuprofen during or after the time of conception. i ended up m/c at 7 weeks. I definitely think the ibuprofen caused it and now i stay away from it.
