I am on cd 33, my cycle is usually right at 31 days. I have thryoid issues and was given a new dosage on medicine 3 weeks ago. I called my thyroid doctor and asked if that could be the reason for my delay in AF. She said it's possible that I didn't ovulate. I failed to asked, if I didn't ovulate if I would still be having some cramping. This month I was so hopefully becasue my chest is sore and that's never the case. This is our 6th month TTC. Does anyone else relate, or know about the cramping?

Well, when you're on birthcontrol you don't ovulate and you still have cramps...not as bad as if you're not on birthcontrol...but your uterus still contracts and sheds it's lining...so yes, you can still have cramps even if you didn't ovulate.

That makes sense. Thanks, I couldn't find anything when I searched online. Guess I just will have to wait it out. My doctor told me to come in for blood work on Friday if I still haven't started by then.

How does your cervix feel? Is it low and hard? THat might be an indication that you will have your period in a few days. Also, with your thyroid condition...I didn't know you could still ttc. My mom has a thyroid issue also, and they told her not to get pregnant...that the meds she needs wouldn't be good for a baby.

No, you can still TTC even if you have thyroid issues. You just have to get your blood tested every 6 weeks to regulate your thyroid. As long as you take our medicine correctly everyday it's okay. Its only when someone doesn't take their meds that it could cause harm to the baby. I don't really know how to check my cervex. I know that's stupid. I have tried to checked, but I never can tell.
