Implantation Dip And Pregnancy

Hi all... I charted for the first time this month along with OPK testing I had a positive OPK on CD12 and BD before that and after. My temps went up and then down. Well, Today I am 7dpo. I had a spike yesterday and then back down drastically today!! Do you think this could have been an implantation dip?? I am also taking Progesterone for spotting late in my cycle.. I also spotted a couple days after Ovulation... Let m know what you think??

That's a pretty big dip, but it's still well above your coverline. To be perfectly honest, I would never trust any "sign" from a chart. I've had dips well below my coverline a couple times and not been pregnant. While implantation can cause a dip, so can lots of other things. IMO, there is no possible pattern in a chart worth getting excited over.

Yeah, I was just wondering since it was my first time and all... Thanks for the info.

I just took another look at your chart. If this is your first month charting, then you should NOT use the manual override feature. I don't agree with the day you chose for your ovulation day, and I certainly don't agree with the temp you picked as your coverline. In addition, you should keep using opks until your positives turn to negatives and your temp goes up substantially. It's possible to get several + opks in a row, and your ovulation day is typically the day after the last positive. It's also possible to get + opks, not ovulate, and then get more + opks later that lead to ovulation. There is no reason to randomly choose the day after a single positive opk as your ovulation day, *especially* when your temps disagree. So long as you're not on any fertility meds, there is no reason to trust opks over your temps. In addition, progesterone supplements can falsely raise your temperature, so it's possible to estimate ovulation earlier than it really is while on them.

LIN, I just changed my method to Advanced on FF. It does show my same O date but different coverline. So, that is good right?

LIN< YOU THERE??

That's a much more realistic coverline. Remember to take FF's choice of ovulation date with a grain of salt. Since you didn't give it any more opks or cm to work with, it's a__suming that you only had one + opk. As for what I think, it's hard to say. Charts aren't always cut and dry, and sometimes all you can a__sume from them is a range. It looks to me like you could have ovulated any time between the day you chose and cd 16. In fact, the spotting you had cd 15 and cd 17 is probably due to ovulation, though sometimes it can take a little time to make its way out, so that doesn't really tell us all that much. In any case, I would just a__sume that you ovulated somewhere between cd 13 and cd 16 and expect af according to the later date. There's little more annoying than getting excited over thinking you're late for af when you're really not and then she rears her ugly head and slaps you across the face. In any case, good luck to you!
